Story
Meet Martin, a brave soul who’s embarking on a journey to rediscover trust, love, and the joys of being a playful pup. Found as a stray in Tennessee, Martin's past may have been tough, but his resilient spirit is shining through. He’s ready for a fresh start in a home that can provide the patience, care, and understanding he needs to thrive. Martin is a sweet and smart boy who loves the company of both dogs and cats, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. He enjoys playing with his toys and has a curious and bright mind that will flourish with some puppy training and socialization. Martin’s ideal forever home would be a quieter environment with a fenced yard, where he can feel safe and explore at his own pace. While he adores older children, he would do best in a serene setting where he can continue to build his confidence. Once Martin warms up to you, his affectionate side takes the spotlight—he’s a cuddle bug through and through. With love, patience, and a sprinkle of encouragement, Martin is eager to become the loyal, playful companion every family dreams of. Could your home be the safe haven Martin is longing for? Let’s give this special pup the happy ending he deserves! Apply now! If interested in Martin, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Story
Get ready for all your friends and neighbors to tell you that you have the most adorable pup on the planet when you take Tanner for a walk. With his dots and spots and brown eye patch this Pointer/Mixed Breed boy is sure to be the talk of the town.Tanner is a young pup at around 5 months old and has plenty of growing up to do so it is estimated that he will be a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) when he is full grown. He currently weighs around 30 pounds. He also has a medium energy level that makes him a great companion for walks around the neighborhood, some playtime and lots of cuddles when home beckons. He is happy to hang out with children and other dogs. It is not known at this time whether Tanner enjoys hanging out with cats.Tanner is currently working on his leash training. He has already mastered his house and crate training like a champ. Establishing a bathroom routine after meals, exercise and naps will help him become a well-behaved member of the household. If crate training is planned, Tanner will require a crate that is big enough for him to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. It is important to remember that although Tanner is housetrained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment.Gaze into his big brown eyes, see that he is just begging for a family to call his own, friends to admire his beauty and a forever home full of warmth and love. The adoption fee for Tanner is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.March 31, 2025, 6:38 am

Story
Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently, his life had started with, best guess, young boys because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. This boy needs a home where his people are with him. He is a person-loving dog, and the only way he can stay out of trouble is to be with his people. He can't help himself; at age 2, he can still be destructive if left to his own devices. Sorry, no apartments for this boy.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/22/25 Petey graduates from Paws in Prison the week of 4/7. Please share! We want him to have a home ready and waiting for him when he graduates! This lovable boy will melt your heart with his sweet soul and affectionate nature. At just 8-10 months old, Petey is a playful and active pup who enjoys plenty of fun before settling down for cozy snuggles. Petey is kennel-trained, fully house-trained, and always ready to please. We do not know his breed. He is likely a mix of several breeds. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and adores everyone he meets. Petey is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative—ready to bring joy and love to his forever home! During his time at Paws in Prison, he has been with an inmate trainer who has worked on the basics with him (basic obedience, leash walking, house training, etc.). They meet weekly with a dog trainer. When Petey graduates, he will have his Canine Good Citizen Certificate. We hope he has a home waiting for him when he graduates in April.
