Story
Josie, JLo, JoJo and Bubba are 4 very lucky puppies. These puppies were found with their mom and 1 other sibling on a back country road in a very rural town. They were starving, covered in fleas and ticks, dehydrated and had been out in that area for goodness knows how long. When a good Samaritan saw them, she did her best to get all 5 pups and mom, but only 4 pups came to her. The volunteer has since gone out every day after to check, and it seems like mom and the 5th pup have disappeared despite leaving food and water out for them ☹ The volunteer was able to save 4 of the pups – And now, they are loving being inside animals and getting to run around in a yard, having access to food, water, shelter, and lots of love. Mom appeared to be a beautiful white lab/pyreneese/dogo/pointer mix that weighed approximately 60 lbs. The volunteer did not see a dad, so we are unsure of that breed. We think they could weigh between 45-65 lbs once full grown, depending. As of 8/5 they weigh about 25-28 lbs each. Josie, Jlo and Bubba have an extra toe on their back feet, which leads us to believe they are great pyreneese mix. Bubba has golden spotted specks on the bottom of his ears and JoJo has the black spots which also could be signs of pointer. We estimate they are around 4 months (so born around March 26, 2024) All 4 pups have their own quirks – They all are very sweet pups with a lot of personality. They all love the water and would make wonderful companions to go to lakes, oceans, rivers or just have a pool in the backyard to play in. They are all kenneled at night and are doing wonderful not using the restroom during the night. They get free roam of the house from 530am-10am and then 530pm-11pm. They are kenneled during the day and do wonderful during that time not having accidents. The foster does have cats, but her cats are not friendly and do not like dogs, so they haven't been that nice to the puppies. The foster does think if with dog friendly cat(s), they would do great with time and training. The foster wrote this about the puppies: Bubba – loves being outside. He is more shy than the others and kind of hangs back to himself, while the others play and run around. He is more of a watcher. He likes more quiet time and relaxing. Very food motivated. Gentle and kind natured. Loves other dogs and when he is around his siblings or personal dogs, will play like crazy. Lacks confidence so another dog in the home or somebody who is home more often and can help with confidence is a must. Bubba is an old, sweet soul. With some training, he will be a loyal best friend. Josie – She acts like a tough girl, but she is very much a follower, not a leader. She does stand up for herself when her siblings pick on her. Loves attention from my older dogs because they don’t pick on her. Likes digging holes to lay in and cool down since its been so hot. Would be over the moon to have a toy chest and she is obsessed with toys and playing with them. She can easily entertain herself. She is a bit shy but likes attention from humans and other dogs. She loves playing with other dogs and being around them, another one in the household would benefit her. She also likes to talk to you when she wants something, whether it’s dinner or to let you know she wants you to throw the ball. Jlo – One of the most social, outgoing and fun ones of the bunch. Super sweet and gentle. She thrives to please her humans and she is obsessed with getting lots of attention and love from her humans. She is playful with or without dogs around and is very entertaining. Her favorite spot to sleep is under the bed. If she can, she will climb on whatever she is able to. She loves to watch everything from a taller height. Jlo is the smartest one of the bunch and is a quick learner. JoJo – More of a leader than a follower. She is the first to try things and the first one to run up to you when they see you coming. She is as obsessed with human attention as JLo is, if not more. She loves to please her humans. Very adventurous – would do best in a home that likes to take their dog out to play often and go on adventures and explore. Very curious girl. Loves to play with her humans and other dogs. Gets along with all dogs. She will whine when you’re sitting there and not petting her to try and get your attention. Also, very smart and a quick learner. Would make a loyal companion. Story
N*Sync is making a comeback! Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass will dance their way into hearts and homes. These boys can just look at you and make you want to melt. Born on June 8, 2024 – our boy band used to be a band of 7. They were born under a home, but the owner decided they didn’t want anything to do with them, so they refused them food and water, and 2 ended up passing of dehydration. Unfortunately, our laws just do not protect animals, so when we heard of the situation, we immediately took the puppies into our care. Mom and dad are unknown. Thanks to groceries, water, and love, they are now thriving and ready to find their forever families. They cannot get enough of being around you. When you’re walking through the house, these pups are right on your heels, following you and begging to be picked up. Despite what their previous humans did to them, they absolutely love human attention and affection. They will follow you around until you don’t allow them to any longer (when they’re back in the puppy pen). They are learning what pee pads are and are catching on quickly to go on them. These boys are very smart and with proper training and one on one care, they will learn fast. They LOVE food and are very treat motivated. You’ll notice a lot of the pictures have jerky treats in them, that seems to be their favorite! As of 8/17, these 5 boys only weigh about 5 lbs. We believe they’ll be about 35-40 lbs once full grown. Their paws are not very big. Since we do not know their parents though, we cannot guarantee size. We do believe Joey will stay smaller than the rest, with Justin being next smallest. They LOVE their toys and learning how to properly play with them. Most of the toys are bigger than them! Be aware: They may lick you to death Wiggle butts explain them perfectly, they are always on the go, always exploring and always wanting to be around humans. They LOVE the fosters dogs and have met their kitties, no issues with either. They get along great with the dogs (big and small) and all the kitties are bigger than they are and they’re more scared of the kitties than anything else. Justin, Joey, Lance, Chris and JC will thrive in all types of environments; they are the sweetest boys who will make the most cuddly, affectionate, loving, and loyal companions. If you would like to adopt this puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations (bordatella, DAPPV), current on preventions (Credelio Plus), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently his live had started with best guess, young boys, because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. Sorry no apartments for this boy.

Story
Meet Dottie Dottie is 52 lbs of pure love! We think she is a Pointer mix, and at little more than 7 months (her DOB was 10-25-23) she is already a large dog. Despite her young age, she is crate-trained, housebroken, and knows some basic commands (sit, off, leave it, let's go, off, go to bed). Dottie was one of a litter of six puppies born to a stray in MIssissippi. She's currently being fostered in Collingswood, NJ, which is where meet & greets will take place prior to adoption. Dottie is very affectionate, absolutely loves to be petted, and still thinks she is a lap-sized puppy! She's very smart, curious, and playful. When she's not rough-housing with other dogs at her foster home, she is learning manners and impulse control. Like most puppies, she still benefits from a nap during the day, needs frequent potty breaks, is getting used to loose-leash walking, and is learning to love car rides, too.  Her perfect family will have time to spend playing with, and to continue socializing and training Dottie. A fur-sib or two, and/or human children would be nice but not essential. As long as she gets plenty of daily exercise and attention, she will be a very happy dog. Due to her size, a securely fenced yard is required. Continued use of a crate is highly recommended! Exercise and activity needs: Moderate Shedding amount: Moderate Grooming needs: Low; occasional bath and nail trim Reaction to new people: Friendly, curious Good with dogs Good with cats Good with people; MUST supervise with young children   Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Meet our active, happy boy Loki!! Loki is a male pointer mix around 3-4 years old. He is incredibly toy driven and loves playing fetch or running around the yard on his own chasing a ball. Loki was rescued in 2022 when a family member was discovered to be deathly allergic to dogs. Loki is good with people and has an extremely high prey drive so he would do best in a home with no other animals.
