Story
Purebred English Pointers DISCARDED from a hunting club. These dogs came in under 40 pounds…they are very thin. That’s a hunting club thing…why train properly when you can just starve them into submission? Yeah, I know…go ahead and jump on me for that statement but I see it a 1000 times in rescue…always. These dogs should weigh 50 to 70 pounds depending on bone structure…so they are now being fed correctly. They crate well (of course -it’s a hunting club so that’s where they spend their lives), they are friendly but a bit shy. They walk well on a leash and have some training. Here’s what we know for sure…they are sweet dogs which is probably why they were discarded so young…all under 2 years. They are heartworm negative & fully vetted. They have nowhere to go. We need fosters and adopters and the situation is URGENT for them. We need to tag them, in order to make it happen, we need committed fosters and adopters for them. These are purebred beautiful English Pointers…. Can you pass this post around and see if anyone has interest? This is just a darn shame on so many levels.

Story
Twinkie's owner was evicted and she found herself homeless. Luckily a rescue person saved her because she was just the sweetest gal! She is shy but friendly....does well with older kids but may be scared around smaller children. Walks well on a slip lead harness and is ok in a crate. When scared, she can be a bit nippy although she hasn't been that way with any of us....I guess we just don't scare her. She's smart and may rush the gate to for freedom....she gets the zoomies! Twinkie is an affectionate girl. Active enough for hikes and content in the home situation. Giving Twinkie a chance would be saving the life of a really deserving young lady....we hope you fill out the application!

Rocky is the sweetest boy! He is playful and affectionate, loves people, and receiving attention! We think he was house trained because he tries not to soil his kennel. Adoption Holds can be placed on pets for a non-refundable fee of $50 for up to three (3) days, when stray holds are complete. Adoption hold fees count towards the adoption fee and are transferable. All pets are fully vaccinated at the time of adoption and includes one year Rabies, deworming treatment, flea treatment, spay or neuter surgery prior to adoption or scheduled through The Clinic at the time of adoption for a return no cost visit.
