Story
. DOB 8-14-2024 Kelly is adorable, sweet and social. She loves to play, gets along with the others and likes her toys. Kelly's adoption fee is 850.00 and her transport fee is 165.00. Kelly is up to date on all medical for her age and will come with a complete set of paperwork. Kelly is spayed, heartworm negative and received a ProHeart6 injection, which is a 6 month heartworm preventative. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Age:   approx 1 1/2 years old   Weight: 13  lbs My adoption fee is $ 450  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast.   Heather was treated for heartworm and is now negative.  Heather has been in foster care for awhile because she is a very nervous girl.  Not agressive, just scared.  She is doing better with this but her new owner must realize that she will need time to feel comfortable. If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/March 8, 2025, 4:50 pm

Story
Meet Louie!Louie is a gorgeous 2-year-old, 21-pound Pomeranian mix with a heart as fluffy as his coat. This sweet boy is house trained, well behaved in the home, and full of love to give. He adores children and does great with other dogs and cats, making him a perfect fit for a family home.Louie is energetic and would thrive with a playful doggy companion to romp around with. He enjoys walks, car rides, and showing off his “sit” command—he’s eager to please and always up for learning something new.Louie came to us after being surrendered for not liking his tail and back end touched, but we haven’t seen any signs of that behavior since he’s been in our care. He’s been nothing but a good boy and is ready for a forever family to call his own.If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and loyal pup, Louie might just be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 6, 2025, 11:34 am
