Zavi is a 9 year old, 6.4 lb male pom mix. Zavi belonged to my son who recently moved and was unable to take Zavi with him. He is a pretty low maintenance little guy as he gets older. Zavi has some health issues- collapsed trachea and heart problems. Unfortunately I am unable to take care for Zavi at this point. Looking for a good home for the little guy!

  Hello, Meet Rope, a 4 month old Pomeranian chihuahua mix. Rope is an easy-going , smart and playful friend.  After some initial low growls to let them know he's not afraid, he gets along great with his foster mom's 3 [much] bigger dogs. He's doing well with crate training. He is making awesome progress on potty training and has learned the "sit" and “paw” command. He sleeps through the night and holds his bladder till the morning. When walking outside he is discovering the world one sniff at a time. He wishes he could fly and climb trees to catch squirrels. He is friendly and interacts well with children. He gets compliments from people all the time. He loves to play with his toys.  He is a sweet and fun puppy that will bring so much joy to his forever home. Are you ready to meet me? IMPORTANT: We are looking for a very specific adopter for Alfie as this poor little girl is very scared and it is likely she had little human contact before she came to HART. She is with one of our trainers and making progress in learning to trust. She is very playful and bonded to 2 of the trainers dogs and loves to run and play with them and be near them. However, it is still hard to pick her up and she is a flight risk. Alfie has so much potential and has made very good progress in a short period of time but still has a way to go. To be considered as a possible adopter for Alfie, you will need to have dog experience as an adult (bonus if you have worked with scared dogs before), already have a playful, outgoing dog that can show Alfie the ropes, have no kids in your home, and live in a quiet, calm home with a highly secure fenced yard. Story
Stop, look, listen! Ransom is adorable! But he is only available to someone who has extensive experience with dogs who have Ransom's behavior issues. Yes, he's as soft as a stuffed toy and just as cute and is a very smart, affectionate little guy. But he's quirky. Originally aged at 12 years old by the shelter where he was turned in as a stray, we agree with our vet team that he’s more likely about 8 years old. Ransom loves to keep watch over the neighborhood as much as he loves being cuddled. He’ll use his paw to pull your hand to his face to stroke him. We initially thought he needed to be an only pet but since he was neutered, he is doing much better. We have taken things very slowly with him and the other dogs here. When he first met the other dogs, he was territorial and showed resource guarding towards humans. We have worked with him and he has made great progress. He learns quickly and really wants to please. He knows sit, wait, watch, and come, walks nicely on the leash and is perfectly crate and house trained. Ransom needs a very special adopter. My original family bought me and let me roam and said to neighbors “we don’t want him, you keep him”! Ouch!I was lucky that the neighbors took me in and treated me like the sweet puppy I am. They are older and a puppy wasn’t on their wish list.I am crate trained and like sleeping in my crate or a dog bed. I am soooo sweet. I am doing great on potty breaks outside. I am all love and I must say quite the looker. Buddy Boo is deaf but responds to hand signals for sit, down and working on stay.. He will keep eye contact to know what is expected of him. He is a care free, hoppy, zoomie puppy. Are you ready to bring me home? I’ll be the best boy ever!
