IMPORTANT: We are looking for a very specific adopter for Alfie as this poor little girl is very scared and it is likely she had little human contact before she came to HART. She is with one of our trainers and making progress in learning to trust. She is very playful and bonded to 2 of the trainers dogs and loves to run and play with them and be near them. However, it is still hard to pick her up and she is a flight risk. Alfie has so much potential and has made very good progress in a short period of time but still has a way to go. To be considered as a possible adopter for Alfie, you will need to have dog experience as an adult (bonus if you have worked with scared dogs before), already have a playful, outgoing dog that can show Alfie the ropes, have no kids in your home, and live in a quiet, calm home with a highly secure fenced yard. Please only apply if you have the experience, commitment, and living situation that Alfie needs to thrive in your home. We want what is best for Alfie and for you. Thank you for understanding.   Hello, Meet Rope, a 4 month old Pomeranian chihuahua mix. Rope is an easy-going , smart and playful friend.  After some initial low growls to let them know he's not afraid, he gets along great with his foster mom's 3 [much] bigger dogs. He's doing well with crate training. He is making awesome progress on potty training and has learned the "sit" and “paw” command. He sleeps through the night and holds his bladder till the morning. When walking outside he is discovering the world one sniff at a time. He wishes he could fly and climb trees to catch squirrels. He is friendly and interacts well with children. He gets compliments from people all the time. He loves to play with his toys.  He is a sweet and fun puppy that will bring so much joy to his forever home. Are you ready to meet me?
