Story
Frankie and Annette are a bonded pair of fawn Pugs. Super sweet duo that loves to be together and with their humans. Approx 1.5 years old. They were dumped inside a neighborhood and left alone in the heat. Luckily, a kind hearted woman was outside when they wandered into her driveway. She scooped them up and got them inside, where it was cool. Frankie is fast to warm up as most Pugs are. Annette is a little shy and takes a day or two to come around. Not a mean bone in their bodies. These two are super sweet. But, must stay together. Annette needs her Frankie. He’s her emotional support Pug. They are young and have that young Pug energy. Where walks are an adventure and exploring is a must. Pugs have excellent sniffers and really get a lot out of smelling their surroundings. If you’re looking for an amazing pair of bed Pugs look no further than these two. They’d love to snuggle with you at night. Hopefully light snoring & midnight kisses don’t bother you since Pugs are experts at both. Truly one of the best breeds. All dogs must be spayed/neutered as part of their adoption package, along with vaccinated against Parvo/distemper and rabies. We also test all dogs for heart worms as microchip.
We'll also keep you updated on Annette's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Twix! This darling little girl is a 4 year old Chihuahua/Pug blend - aka a chug! She joined us recently from the Humane Society of Yuma, and we told her we'll find a rock star home for her! She'll need a little help learning that a leash leads to good things. She gets so excited at the sound of a squeaky toy and will jump and prance and run around like the silly little girl that she is! She enjoyed meeting other dogs during her behavior assessment, and she'd love to meet you! Twix is living with one of our amazing foster homes and will be available at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may arrange a weekday meeting by emailing Debbie@AzFriends.orgNo appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
