Please meet Mouse! He reminds us of Mighty Mouse—a bigger-than-life 2-year-old pug! Mouse was adopted for our Hearing Dog program but he prefers the life of a companion pet. Mouse currently lives with other dogs in a home. He enjoys them but they don’t always enjoy him. He is rough and not always nice with play. He thinks he needs to be the sheriff of the play yard. He shares but prefers not to share. So, we think he would be happiest as an ‘only child’. And speaking of child….he LOVES little people! Our youngest volunteer is a 5-year-old girl who adores carrying Mouse around the house and yard. He adores her! Loves sitting with her all the time! He is a “people pug” Mouse is playful, energetic, sweet, and a real ham. He is healthy and has no breathing issues that plague some pugs. He had nasal surgery to prevent any of those issues. Mouse is comfortable with being in a free-standing pen. We opt for this over a crate for sleeping or home alone. If you are looking to add a 4 legged friend to your home and Mouse has tugged at your heartstrings, we invite you to complete an application under Dogs for Adoption on our website. As a Pug with a squishy face, the folds do require ongoing care – you can ask her foster to show you what to do to keep her folds clean. Jasmine is housebroken, can use a doggie door; she has good leash manners and is dog and people friendly. Jasmine can be a bit dog selective, she’s a huge cuddler and she she loves everyone she meets and she loves to play, play, play! Jasmine will easily fit into any type of home and family dynamic. Jasmine would make an amazing companion and she can be the only dog in the home! Will you be the lucky one to take this sweet girl home with you?

Taylor would be best suited in a home that is very calm with other dogs as she's very comfortable around them. She likes to be near you because it does bring her some comfort but letting her come to you is key. She is definitely a lap dog too. Taylor never barks, is a good eater and does not display an ounce of aggression even when she's frightened. Recently she started walking on a leash and has made great strides over the past few weeks.
