Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bonded Senior Pugs Available for Adoption Frank and Jessie are an adorable pair of senior pugs looking for their retirement home. They are both super sweet and chill. They do great with other dogs, even their slightly aggressive foster sister . These boys came from a home where they were definitely loved. The vet estimates these gentlemen to be about 12 years old, in good overall health, with no life-threatening conditions, and a few remaining years left to enjoy life . Frank has dry eyes which require daily eye drops. He is visually impaired but sticks right with his brother and has no trouble. These boys love getting pets and scratches. They enjoy naps, long walks in the garden, snacks and mealtime. Frank and Jessie are truly bonded, following each other around and almost always touching when sleeping. Do you have a couch that needs two adorable couch potatoes to keep it warm? The fellas are each 26 lbs, neutered, and up-to-date on vetting. Though they have pretty good house manners now, they will need some time to adjust to a routine in a new home, like most rescues. If being too cute was a crime, these boys would be convicted felons. Frank and Jessie are located in Charlotte, NC. Their adoption fees will be greatly reduced to place them in the right home. Please apply at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption. Story
Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we!  This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help!  Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound,  9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home.  Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie.  This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls.  HORRORS!!!!!   OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG.  This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie?  She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her.  Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her.   We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her.  I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on  occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there.  She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My given name is Bellatrix, but my foster mom calls me Bella. I am a 5-year-old Boston Terrier. Even though I am only about 19 pounds, I am pretty strong. During my daily walks, I'm fascinated with anything that moves - even a flag waving - and like to pull on my leash to investigate! I might like a fenced yard, but I don’t have one now, so my foster mom walks me about three times a day. She calls me the Neighborhood Watch Captain and I take that title very seriously. I don't bark much, but if golfers get too close in the backyard, I may bark to let them know I'm on duty. I will be best in a home with no young children or other animals. Meeting new people and animals is scary though, so I prefer we keep our distance. Some people think I'm a Diva but I don't think that's fair, because I can't help it if I'm special! If you are "my person" then I love to put my paws on your shoulders and give you lots of kisses! And if you’re a new person to me, and give me the time and space I need to get to know you, we can become friends. I am not a fan of the crate and have been quite a Houdini at figuring out my escape. I am house trained and I love to sleep in bed with my human. I love car rides and I love to eat. The doc thinks I may be allergic to chicken so we just avoid it. I love the sunshine . My foster mom puts a dog bed out on the porch in a sunny corner and I love to hang out there with her. My favorite spot to lay inside is the back of the couch where I can keep a watch outside. I am located in Aiken, SC. If you think you could be my new person, please let my rescue friends know. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Available for Foster-to-Adopt Meet Teddy. He is a 2.5-year-old Boston Terrier, with a tail . Teddy was dropped at a full shelter in MI, along with several other dogs. A couple that are awesome BTBR volunteers jumped into help and made the long trek from SC to pick up those that had no where to go, including Teddy. Teddy is 19 lbs, up-to-date on vetting including neuter, and very sweet, but he is SCARED! He is looking for someone patient, with a big heart, to give him a chance at a happy forever! Teddy loves other dogs and is slowly learning that humans can be trusted. He has shown no aggression, only being very timid! The ideal home will have another dog or two for his confidence and a fenced in yard. Once trust is earned, Teddy can practice with a leash and take some walks. Teddy’s adoption fee will be greatly reduced for the right fit. We just want to give him the best chance! If you have it in your heart to help this sweet boy, let us know. We can connect you to his temporary foster to learn more. He is currently located in Surfside Beach, SC. Applications can be submitted via https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption .
