Hi, I am Jasmine-Paris! Are you looking for a gentle and snuggly companion? Then I might just be the girl for you! My foster mom says I am such a sweet and gentle girl. I love to snuggle up with my humans and get some pets. Right now I am really enjoying my chew toys, and I love playing fetch with my humans too! I currently live with my foster family and my foster siblings. Guess what? My foster siblings are cats! We have a lot of fun together and I really enjoy playing with them. My foster mom says I would do well in a home with cats. I haven't been around dogs just yet because I have been recuperating from my eye surgery - I was unfortunately hit by a car which irreparably injured my eye. My bad eye was recently removed and my foster family has been taking such good care of me! My current routine consists of three meals a day - I love my food and get very excited about it! I love to go outside to play and get out a little energy, and my favorite part is when I come back inside for a treat. I do enjoy some down time too. After all that fun I particularly I love a good cuddle with you, and then a good night's sleep. I am potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained too! Meet sweet Puglsey! Pugsley is around 3 years old. We named him Pugsley Addams because he came to us around Halloween time. His favorite pastime is to follow you around the house. He wants to have you in his line of sight all the time. He loves to cuddle and will be a wonderful companion dog to anyone. He enjoys his daily walks and walks well on leash. He is good with cats. He would be happier if he is the only dog at home. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Earless and fearless! Chunky and funky! It's me, Cheesecake! I'm a sweet, easygoing girl looking for a pack to match. I'm super affectionate, and I'm hoping to find people who will give me plenty of pets, rubs, kisses and hugs. One million of each per day, minimum! Also, you don't mind if I get a little drool on you, do you? I'm currently going through heartworm treatment to get rid of my "little friends." No one is really sure what happened to my ears or my teeth, but it doesn't matter! I can hear and eat just fine. Especially if you're saying "treat" or "supper time," and you have some soft yummies for me. I like to carry my bowl around the house in hopes that you take the hint... I get along great with other dogs, even though I'd rather snuggle up for a nap than play. I'm extra gentle and I don't have a prey drive, so I would likely do well with kids and cats! I love to go out in public and steal the show. People always want to give me pets and rubs, and I am too happy to oblige! Foster Mom says I'm a total ham ... which I don't get, because I'm obviously a Cheesecake! I really enjoy hanging out in my crate. Sometimes I'm snoozing so good that it's hard to get me up in the morning! I can get a little grouchy if another dog comes near my food, so it's a good idea to let me eat and enjoy special treats in my crate. I love soft toys that feel good on my gums. But I also like ice cubes and deer antlers. Like any good cheesecake, I have layers. It's obvious that I've had some tough times in the past, but now all I want is to love and be loved. Make some room on the couch for me (or not, I'll snuggle up in your lap!) and apply to meet me now!
