Story
Hi! My name is Suzanne. I am a really adorable girl, and I am just looking for my furever home! I was surrendered by a breeder after they no longer wanted me. I am half pug, and half Frenchie/Boston terrier. I am 7 months old (born around February 2024), weigh about 12 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $650, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

ADOPTION PENDING! NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. We are ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS FAMILY NOW. APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED STARTING ON Monday, July 29th. Applications may not be contacted until 5-7 days after the 29th. Meet our purebred Pug Litter! These 6 babies came to our rescue when a local breeder could no longer care for all of her breeding dogs. All the dogs from this home where indeed pugs and are said to be purebred dogs. Their mother, Momma Moria is a 12-pound dog. We do not know what pug the father was. This litter is currently 4 weeks old and can go home at weeks old on, 8/21/2024. These puppies are VERY tiny, just weighing in at a little over a pound at 4 weeks old. They will need a home that understands how fragile they will be as a young pup. They are not suited to a home with children under the age of 8. Small children and small animals are not a match. Each puppy in this litter has been held and loved on for hours a day and they are very social and sweet! They love to lick your nose and are very excited to see new people. Our young puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed/neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $500.00. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** The adoption fee for this dog is $500, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Mila J - loving, sweet, obedient, loves her human Mila was rescued as a young pup. She, her litter mates, and their mom (Chihuahua) were abandoned on top of trashcan. However, they survived the conditions that they were left in and she has grown to be a healthy dog since. Now, she almost 10yrs of age and still playful and loving as ever. She really enjoys rub downs, kisses, snacks, and any food you or your kids leave on the ground haha. She is a pretty calm and chill pup, but she still has it in her to run around and play or fetch a ball here and there. She loves greeting you when you get home with a toy! She also really loves lounging, especially when she can get a good sunbathe! She's innocent and in need of a single person, couple, or family who can give her lots of love and attention. She is able to be around other pets and is not aggressive, however, she loves being "the baby" haha. So far, she has been the only pet in the house for the past almost 10yrs. Come get your baby!

Story
This is the sad story of Panda. She was discarded by her breeder after they believed she could no longer provide puppies for them due to her age. To our horror, Panda was very pregnant when she came to us. This is like an 80 year old being pregnant at Panda’s age. She was only days away from giving birth. When the big day arrived, 7 beautiful babies were born and it seemed all was well. One by one, we started losing the puppies back to back. Little did we know, at Panda’s age she was not producing and her age caused a lot of health problems to the newly born pups. A tough decision was made to take the remaining babies away from Panda. She mourned and grieved for days, and although we were devastated, this was for the best. Her remaining babies continue to thrive, and panda is adjusting to her new life without them. She has a long road ahead of her health wise, but she is a sweet girl who never deserved to be bred her whole life. It’s time Panda knows what it’s like just to be a household dog. She loves being around people and got used to being loved, so much so, she doesn’t want you to leave her side. She does great with dogs, cats, and kids! Panda is older, so she is hearing impaired. She needs a soft place to land and someone to give her the best life in her senior years. If you are able to provide a loving retirement home , please submit an application.
