Odie is a one (1) year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, male dog. He is sweet, playful, smart and sensitive. He has a lot of Ridgeback personality characteristics. He is house trained, knows commands and listens well. He loves to cuddle, get belly rubs, and snuggle next to you when you're on the sofa. He loves human attention and is always eager to engage. He rides in the car well, even on long trips. We bring him to the dog park every day for socialization and exercise. He loves playing with other dogs. He is very friendly with people. He is currently enrolled in basic obedience classes to reinforce what he already knows and learn new skills. We want him to be the best companion that he can be. He needs a lot of exercise and would benefit from a family that is active and can take him on multiple walks a day, in addition to the dog park. We adopted Odie only to find out that our other dog doesn't get along with him. In addition, my son is allergic to him.

Story

Gemma has been in our family since she was about nine months old. We adopted her from a breeder who acquired her thru a surrender who was from Costa Rica. She is apprehensive of men and it takes her a few to warm up to a man. She prefers women. She will be eleven in June. She has had incontenance since she was spayed at one year but it has gotten worse in her old age. She is currently on medication to help control her irritation. She does wear a diaper constantly only to prevent her from leaking on floors and furniture. She is a very sweet girl with a sad melancholy demeanor. She loves being around other dogs, and weirdly she likes the little guys. She does currently live with a frenchie and has been around other bulldogs her whole life. She has a few lumps on her that vet said are noncancerous which is common. She is very protective of her house, so she will let you know who is on your property. She is used to running in a yard and leash walking can be a challenge.

Please meet Mr. Jinx! He has been the best dog for the past 4.5 years. Recently he got into an altercation with our cat, so we can no longer keep him. He has no food aggression, no toy aggression and is a very sweet boy. However, he does not want to share his space with another animal. He is crate trained (he spends all day in his crate and is very happy), leash trained (he gets a 10-15 minute walk a day), house trained, and loves to be around his people. He is a mastiff mix so he leans up against you to get love. Wherever you go, he will follow. And he LOVES hugs. He has a strong prey drive so he needs to be in a fenced yard (physical or otherwise). He has no medical issues and does not need a special diet. We can provide his new owner with his crate, blankets, toys, food, supplements, leash and harness and anything else to make him comfortable. We are heartbroken by this turn of events and want to make sure he is in the right home.

Meet sweet Pete Peter turned 3 in December 2024. He’s a major cuddle bug couch potato - LOVES to snuggle up, take a ton of naps, and watch movies with you - who also has some big goofy energy that he likes to get out with zoomies, a play session, or a game of chase with a friend. Peter was rescued from a kill-shelter in Texas in 2022 when he was 6 months old. We met him at a rescue in Seattle, WA, where we adopted him as an anxious but sweet little bean. With lots of training, he came out of his shell and has shown his full goofball, snuggly, loyal and eager to please personality. But since our move to NYC, Peter has let us know that this environment is too overstimulating for him, resulting in a return of super shy side, and some new reactivity (mainly with bigger and unneutured dogs, and in a few rare cases when the city stimulation is high, reactivity with people passing.) He is desperate to escape the city and get somewhere more calm - he has SO much love to give!
