Due to some changes in our life, we are not longer able to keep him. This change breaks my heart and I am desperate to make sure he goes to a home that will love him just as much and treat him as part of the family. I am praying you are able to help us find him a home with a similar lifestyle so that his transition will be as easy as possible. Tank will be 2 in May of this year and has not been fixed. He is mainly an indoor dog but does enjoy spending time in our backyard (our yard is fenced). He really joy walks but will play fetch for a bit at a time. When the weather is warm he only likes to go out when he needs to use the bathroom but he loves to spend time outside when it is cold. He does shed but not crazy amounts as we have had other Rottweiler owners tell us theirs do. We feed him twice a day, morning and night. We feed him 2 cups of dry food and 4 chicken livers morning and night. We buy fresh chicken livers and boil them before feeding them to him. So much more I can share.

Name: Sokka Age/lbs 4 years old/75lbs Breed: We're guessing he's some sort of coonhound, shepherd, and rottie mix. Sokka came to the shelter as a stray, but he seems to have had a a home at some point. He is very affectionate, gentle, and playful. He is house trained and doesn't tear up his bed or toys. He knows "sit" but can get jumpy when overexcited, but he listens when corrected. He loves people and affection and will immediately seek out love! He is mild-mannered and a great combination of playful and couch potato. If you sit down, he'll sit right in your lap. He has not been tested with dogs or cats yet, but he doesn't appear bothered by the other shelter dogs. If you have a pet, we always recommend a meet and greet! He hasn't met any children yet, but he is gentle and sweet. He is already neutered and up to date on his shots. Check back in for more details as we get to know this sweet boy more.

There is a reason my name is Romeo…I will climb in your lap if you let me, I love to snuggle and I am very affectionate. I love to go for rides in the car, play at the park and go for walks on trails. I am friendly with people and love to play. I love to play ball and enjoy playing with the other rottweiler safe toys that my foster mom gives me. My favorite toy to play with is a giant rope bone! I do well with female dogs, but I do not get along with other male dogs. And as far as I am concerned cats look like great chew toys to me, so foster Mom says I need a home without cats. I would do best in a home with a large fenced in yard where I can run and play, and with an owner who can provide leadership for me. I do well with older kids, but would be best in a home with out small children. I have had extensive obedience training and know all my basic commands.
