TEXAS Adoption Only Hello Everyone, My name is Bramble I am a 4 year old 17 pound mini poodle terrier mix. Hold your Horses though. I know that usually that means you have found the perfect size cuddle boy and lap baby. This is not me. I will not be sitting in your lap anytime soon. My foster mom is working very hard to let me know all the humans aren't terrible but I am slow to believe her. I have been here 8 months and I like treats from her and a random gentle head pat I've given mom permission to look at me & sweet talk me, but she'd better not try to pick me up. I no longer run away if we are in the same space and she is so excited for my progress. I just need to exist in your house until I'm fully comfortable and that is going to take a lot of time hot dogs and cheese and work on your part. Does your current dog need a friend? I love to play with other dogs and in fact I require a home with another dog who also like to play. I'm a totally different boy with my fur friends. Foster mum has cats and dogs so I do great with both. I also need a fully secured back yard with a privacy fence. Sorry no Chain link for me. If I get out you will not get me back. I know I'm looking for a unicorn and I'm hopeful that my unicorns are out there and will love me for who I am. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Hear ye, hear ye! You are at the behest of Sir Barkley! As one might haveth guessed, I am the good SIR of Barkley! I am soon to become a Lord I'll have you know! My queen wishes me to tell you that I am almost potty trained, but mostly good, crate trained and would do best with a sir doggie companion at my side! I do love a good bark, I can be quite talkative sometimes... but never fear I make a great companion! I am super sweet, and do like to be coddled like a baby. That is fine for a gentleman of my stature of course! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

I am looking for a foster or forever! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Hi! I'm Casey. I'm from Minnesota. From his foster: Casey is a sweet older gent who loves to snuggle and follow his person around the house. He prefers to be the top dog to his people and can tend to get reactive if he feels another dog might get affection or food that he wants. He would do best as a solo dog, but may be okay with a very tolerant dog who could ignore his growls and occasional outbursts. He is a happy sidekick to my older, dog-savvy kids (but would probably be fine with any kid who is gentle with him.) He's potty trained but does better with a belly band if left for a stretch since he's older. He's happy and spry for his age and appreciates but doesn't require walks. Casey does get anxious on car rides and gets very vocal, so he wouldn't be a happy sidekick for a traveler.

Hi! I'm King Louis! I'm from Missouri! From his foster: King Louis is a super cute little guy. Enjoys days wondering in the yard, basking in the grass and sun, and joining with other dogs playing. Louis will play with toys, and loves a tricky dog treat puzzle. Louis came to us in fostering completely shut down and scared, and he has come so far in our home toward becoming a wonderful companion for a special adopter. Louis is potty pad trained as a backup to getting outside. His Royal Highness is very particular about who he let's get close to him. After several weeks he is starting to warm up to me ( adult woman) and my kids (teenage girls) is still very leary of my husband, but better than before! King Louis loves other dogs and really feels more comfortable with another dog around. He does great with our standard poodle but would probably love a smaller closer to his size companion dog. Unknown how he does with cats but probably fine. Louis is so smart and has really gotten so much better with his anxiety in the few weeks we have had him I have great hope that with time and training he can become an affectionate lap pet, good with all people, crate trained, fully house trained, and leash trained.

Story
Hi! I'm Addeline. I am from Missouri. I am an 8 year old, 10 pound poodle. I am from a breeder release, but get along well with other dogs and people. My foster mom calls me Addie. I'm starting to recognize my name when she talks to me. I'm even starting to wag my tail just a tiny bit. The most important thing to know about me is that I am just starting to learn that humans can be good. It's going to take me a while to really trust my person. People in my past haven't been very kind to me. What I really want is a kind, gentle human who understands I will need to go at a slow pace in becoming part of the family. You can't change my past, but with patience, consistency, and love you can change my future. Addeline needs a forever home that understands her issues and is willing to work with her. Addie is a sweet little girl who needs extra time, commitment, and TLC from her adopter. Her little personality is quite funny and she wants to be where you are. Important to know about Addie: Fear of humans. Addie is hesitant about new people. Addie does best in a quiet environment when people let her come to them. You may have to lie on the floor and allow Addie to approach you over a period of time until she learns to trust. This worked for us. Addeline is generally fearful of being picked up. Addie will crouch down and flatten herself on the floor if she thinks she is about to be picked up. Leave a harness and a leash on a timid dog until she learns to trust you enough to come to you. Using the word "Up" seems to help her know what I'm about to do. Unexpected sounds, strangers, thunder, wind, etc all trigger Addie's anxiety about being safe. Patience is the key. Addie is s still working on potty training. During the day we take Addie out very often, trying to help her make the connection between going potty and going outside. Some days she seems to get it. Other days she doesn't. Addie refused to leave her crate but now panics when confined to the kennel. Addie has been given baths which she tolerated but was very fearful. If you use a groomer, be sure to use one that is patient and gentle. Addie needs a quiet environment and someone who is home with her. Once she bonds with you she doesn't like to be separated. She would benefit from a calm, smaller breed resident pet that she can bond with and learn from. Addie is on medication that helps take the edge off her anxiety.

Location: Minneapolis, MN Cami is busy learning all the things she never learned at her former placement such as hopping in a car, staying off the counters and letting her foster mom know when she needs to potty. She is shy but is learning how to trust people she just met (especially if they have treats). Cami loves her daily walks and watching all the birds bunnies other dogs. She is very easy to walk on the leash. Most of all, Cami loves hanging with her people. She would love to live in a home where people are home a lot or can take her with them. Cami's foster is very impressed with how quickly she picks things up and how she perseveres even when she's a little bit scared. -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Location: Farmington, MN *Adoption fee is sponsored thanks to The Petfinder Foundation* Hi! My name is Vincent, but my foster mom calls me Sweet Boy! I'm a very shy boy and am learning to settle into a home! I get along with my doggy siblings and am scared of my kitty siblings but I like to try to say hi to them! I love my foster mom, dad and little girl. I'm learning to potty outside, I don't poop in the house but once in a while excitement gets the best of me and I pee, but I keep my kennel clean! My foster mom puts belly bands on me when out of the kennel for when I get a bit too excited. Even though I've been through a lot I'm still very sweet and am learning how to be a dog a little more each day! -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). He is a great cuddler. Libra can hang when playing with his siblings even though he's pretty little (Libra's longer hair makes him look bigger than he is) and he is pretty happy either way-playing or chillin. Libra is working on potty training and loves being outside in the grass. He's good in his kennel and uses the pad. He's good with the resident big sister dogs and has met the unsociable cat. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! Love, Peter *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Heston, a 2-year-old male Poodle weighing in at 10 pounds. At first, I might seem a bit shy around new people and situations, but once I get comfortable, I'm a playful and cuddly little guy. I'm really smart and curious, always eager to learn and explore. I’ve been learning about trust and now I’m more apt to stay put than run, when approached.  Once I’m picked up I just melt right in for love.  That’ll likely be my personality all the time once I know you’re my people.  I’ve just started sleeping on my foster’s leg and inching my way up to hopefully a lap soon. I do have a fear of thunderstorms, so during those loud, stormy nights, I might need some extra comfort. I haven't been around young kids yet, but I think I'd do great with respectful children who understand how to be gentle and kind to me. Potty training is a work in progress for me. I’m trying hard to follow along and go potty outside but as close as I am to getting the hang of it, I might need a little transition time to learn it at my forever home too. I'm not the biggest fan of leashes and new things can make me nervous, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I've been on occasional walks, though, and I do know the command for “stay” which is what I’m told when they want to wrangle me in the harness.  I get along well with other dogs of all sizes, and while I don't need another dog in the house, having a furry friend to play with would be fantastic. I'm usually pretty quiet, except when the other pups start barking or when it's time for breakfast and dinner – then I might join in the chorus. One of my best qualities? I'm a world-class cuddler. I love nothing more than spending all day being held or sitting on a lap, soaking up all the love and affection. If you're looking for a sweet, but timid companion who is learning to be braver everyday and promises to adore you endlessly, I'm your pup! *Please note tha t some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.
