Story
Hi. I am needing to rehome my 1 1/2 year old, intact, AKC, GSD. Excellent temperament, zero aggression. Still very much puppy, but protector. He loves kids and small kittens. Hasn’t been around adult cats. He’s very big for a shepherd, so he needs a lot of space and someone who will provide ample exercise and excitement. He LOVES other dogs and going to parks. He’s been on a waitlist to be neutered, so I would definitely get that done as soon as you can. But overall he’s a great dog. I’m a single mom now, and with rent prices I don’t have the space or time for him unfortunately. He deserves better. The site says you must neuter in 30 days, but it’s your preference.

Story
Baby is a healthy and sweet girl. She is 2 years old and 50 lbs. She is potty trained and good with other dogs and kids. She chases cats so she should be supervised around them. She can be jumpy when excited so she should be supervised near young kids. She can have accidents or chew when left alone so someone home a lot is preferable. She is not used to walking on the leash so please be patient with her or just keep her in your yard. I took her in to find her a good home from a woman who kept her kenneled 12 hours a day. Because of this she cannot be kenneled or she will self harm.

To apply or see more of Indy, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/12/3/indy Hello there! I'm Indy. I'm a true Christmas miracle! My HFP story begins with a close call – I was set to be euthanized at a county shelter in Sacramento. It wasn't my fault, just a lack of space. But guess what? Fate had other plans for me, and I spent the holidays in a cozy foster home, waiting for my forever family to come and scoop me up! I’m friendly when meeting people and I had been rocking it in the shelter yard with other dogs! My fosters say I'm super sweet and lovable, despite being a bit older. But hey, age is just a number, right? I love laying by your side while you work, and I'm always up for a game of play. Walks? Oh, they're my absolute favorite! I'm a well-mannered pup, potty trained and great in my kennel when my foster leaves the house. A real winner, or so they say! Now, I used to have some bumps on my abdomen but they were nothing serious. They sound scary because their called a ridiculous name: hemangiomas. Weird, I know. But they are no biggy. Look em’ up. They are non-cancerous growths and they have successfully been removed at UC Davis! I take it all in stride. I've still got pep in my step and a heart full of love. More info about my health journey is coming soon, but for now, I'm just grateful for my change of fate. If you're looking for a sweet, seasoned companion who's ready to bring joy into your life, that's me!
