~Adoptable Izzy~ Izzy is a 5.5 month old, 18 pound cutie who loves playing with all sorts of toys, chewing on any kind of bones and playing fetch with the ball. She has a zest for life! This girl has the cutest zoomies, high energy and can jump (agility may be her calling). She gives lots of kisses especially since her favorite thing is spending time with you and following where ever you go-including for a car ride. Izzy has done well with her crate for intervals during the day and sleeps through the night after a few minutes of settling in. She has not had an accidents yet in the house while in foster care. Izzy is very treat motivated so she learns quickly and is easy to train with positive reinforcement methods. Izzy will need a family with patience since everything is a new experience for this little one. She seems to have limited exposure and experiences to many things before coming into rescue. She has been nervous around other dogs, and will need patient, slow introductions. Izzy will benefit from training and socialization to become more confident. With all her gorgeous fluff, she will need routine brushing and grooming too. She’s done well with adults and children but we would prefer any children in the home to be at least 10 years or older so that the children can understand that taking things slow, and providing positive learning and training experiences are what Izzy needs to thrive! This adorable bundle of joy would love to be your new best friend, and she is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and is scheduled to be spayed by the rescue. If you are open and willing to give her slow introductions to new dogs that she meets, provide her with socialization opportunities where she can continue to build confidence, and commit to daily training and exercise, as well grooming, then you’ve met your absolutely adorable match. All this old broad needs is a soft place to land and live out her life. Being crated is beneath her, but she is pretty house-trained if she’s let out often. She has 13 years of life and 13 years in our home, today unfortunately because of our pace of life both at work and now with 2 children a newborn has been difficult for her we have gone through many changes that have her tense and we are looking for a home that gives her the attention that we can no longer give her since we work late and it is difficult to dedicate time to her. She is a very sweet and loving girl. She doesn't like being alone, she's playful. She knows some techniques such as turning, giving the paw but she likes to be rewarded with croquettes.
