His previous shelter praised him for his great manners around kids and other dogs, so he's sure to fit right in. Kodi is a bit sensitive to handling, so he'd do best in a home with kids aged 8 and up who can respect his boundaries. When it comes to meeting new folks, Kodi might be a little aloof or barky at first. But crouch down and have a chat with him, and you'll see him warm up in no time. This little guy is ready to be your loyal companion. If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and friendly addition to your family, Kodi might just be the perfect match. Come meet him and see for yourself! If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.

Meet Cookie! She is about 9 years old, 14 lbs, and she may have some Shih Tzu in her mix. In her foster home, she is doing great with house-training, does not enjoy crate-training and is doing well with leash walking. She could go to a home with kids 5+ and other calm dogs. Cats are unknown. Her foster says, "Cookie is a great pet. She just wants to be with you. She catches on easily. Fireworks and storms upset her. She will settle when put in the crate and cover it. She's a sweet, loving girl who will make anyone the best pet ever."She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on July 19th. LOOKING TO REHOME DOGS & ALL BELONGINGS TOGETHER!!! Here are Naiomi (Black, Age: 5) and Anyla (Blonde, Age: 1) They are both Shih Tzu/Yorkie mixes and we have had them both since they were young puppies. Both are female and have not been spayed. We initially got Anyla as a means to quell Naiomi's anxiety that she was experiencing when my partner and I were at work. Anyla has helped immensely with Naiomi's anxiety and in turn, Naiomi has become such a protective and caring older sister to Anyla. They love playing together, sleeping together, and climbing on top of pillows together! We are moving, and unfortunately don't have the capacity to take care of them they way they need and deserve. Since they have gotten so close and are truly sisters, we don't want to split them up and would love for them to be adopted together. We are looking for a great person/family who has a love for dogs and could use the extra loving and cuteness that these two beautiful dogs radiate on a daily basis.
