Story
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2318415##

Story
Meet Max! Max is a great companion dog, he loves to relax and hang out with his humans. He enjoys going for walks outside, and even just lounging around in the sun. Max is the kind of stubborn guy that doesn't think he needs any help. For example, when Max had some really yucky ears that needed some attention on intake, he would not allow staff to help him clean and treat them! Because of this, Max has been working hard on becoming muzzle trained. This way, when he does need some help, Max is just a little more accepting of it! Due to his independent and maybe even slightly sassy attitude, Max would do best in home with only teens (+) and with no other dog friends. Max would also do best with someone who has experience both with senior dogs and with dogs with just a little bit of spice to them. If you are interested in applying for Max, please fill out an adoption application! The application can be found on our website: https://www.rispca.org/adoptable-dogs

Story
Age:   approx 7 years old  (both) Weight: 12 lbs (Prince)  10 lbs (Princess) My adoption fee is $ 995  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Prince and Princess are a bonded pair and will be adopted together.   Both are very affectionate and very sweet. They play outside with the others, and love running in the yard. Potty and crate trained. They are always together, share a kennel, and have their own bowls, but eat each other's bowls. Very adorable pair. Now that their hair is grown, they look a lot like it but she’s a smaller size. She’s a sweetheart. She gives kisses and wants to be held. He also does a lot of kisses and affectionate. If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/December 21, 2024, 10:44 pm

Story
Adoption Donation   $ 499 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx.  5 years old Weight: 5  lbs. Uno was found on side of road. He had been attacked by another dog. As a result he lost his left eye and his care was taken over by one of our Southern rescue partners. He is a very handsome, laid back and sweet boy who loves people and other dogs.  Cats unknown as he wasn't fostered with cats.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  furmama23@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
He’s a throw pillow that growls sometimes. This is the best description of Jameson that we could come up with. Jameson’s favorite thing to do is sleep on the couch and his second favorite thing is eating. He does not do much else and is very pillow-like. We think Jameson is around 8-10 years old and he has had both eyes removed so he is completely blind. But, he still manages to get up the 2 steps to the couch and find his “spot”. Jameson weighs 18 lbs. When Jameson first arrived, we could not touch him without him snapping. He was scared, blind, and in pain. After a few weeks he became comfortable with us and we could pet him and pick him up. He started to recognize our voices and we gained his trust by going slow and not pushing him. He will need an adopter who is patient and doesn’t expect a dog who is immediately loving and cuddly. Jameson can get there but it will take time. Jameson is fine with other dogs as long as they don’t jump on him or step on him. Then he can snap. But, he does not go out of his way to interact with other dogs. Jameson loves to eat and feeding time is the only time we hear him bark. Jameson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, recently had full blood work and recently had surgery to remove his remaining eye. He had a mass removed months ago that was benign. To apply to adopt Jameson, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
