My name is Sugar and I'm looking for a lifelong bff to be the spice in your life. Im a 3 yrs young pure bred Silky Terrier. I've heard I look like a Yorkie. Pfft! They wish... just at these fancy ears. Vidal Sassoon himself would have been in awe. Speaking of my hair/ fur.. I'm what they call very low to no shed meaning I won't shed all over your ~ahem.. our pad and you and our guests won't have to play Benadryl shot games. I have my own opinions and a bit of a spicy side,but once you've won me over I'll be your ride or die. Speaking of rides...I love car rides too..all I want is to be loved ,cherished ,belly rubbed, and hanging out the passenger side of my best friends ride... Toys and squeaky balls are favorites along with treats and naps. Hurry up and get your application in. Our adventures await! Note from foster mum: Sugar is a wonderful 17 lb Silky terrier that can be a little spicy with new people at first,but warms up quickly in a calm home. She may not be well suited for a home with small children as she can be fearful and snippy if uncertain. She's done very well with other dogs given the rt introduction and supervision since she is small and can be fearful at first. Sugar walks well on a leash. She is currently learning kennel training,but prefers to sleep in the bed with you. She is potty pad trained and will go outside as well,but is still firming up her skills. Sugar rides in the car perfectly. She can be a chewer with prized doggie chew things like remotes and reading glasses. Those need to just be set up higher than her little legs can reach and redirect her with her toys. Her adopt fee is 500 local to the San Antonio area and 700 out of state.

Animal Profile: Amore was surrendered to our rescue partners in San Bernardino after her owner was sited for having too many dogs on their property. She is friendly with people and other dogs, and did well for vetting and grooming appointments. We look forward to helping her find a family in the PNW! Foster Update: Meet Amore she's a Maltese Mix, 7lbs and full of cuteness.  Amore is the perfect name for this precious little gal! She arrived on Sunday. At first, she can be a bit nervous, but once you hold her, she snuggles right up in your arms. Amore is the ultimate lap dog and loves nothing more than snuggling with her human. Amore is able to stay in her crate for up to 4 hours while you’re away. She's a smart cookie, she can unlock her crate. She whines when she needs a potty break while in her crate. We are currently working on her potty training, so she doesn't have free range of the house and is kept on a leash to be redirected outside. She is learning quickly and is motivated and eager to please. Amore knows how to use a doggie screen to go in and out. She’s a chill little lady who sits around like the princess she is. Amore is great with other dogs and, while she can be a little nervous when meeting new people, she warms up quickly—especially if she gets to snuggle in your arms. She loves laying in the yard catching some sun rays.  Amore would thrive in a home where she can be showered with love and snuggles. She would do well with other dogs, not sure about cats but I think she would be fine with slow intro. Amore is the sweetest, cuddly companion who will adore you. We haven’t started on training yet as she’s still settling in, but I can tell she is one smart girl. Slightly sassy and very sweet, Zara loves having a dog friend to snuggle and play with. She would do great in a home with another pint-sized pup to keep her company. Foster Update:  Kiara loves being held - after all, that’s the best way for her to give you kisses! She came with a few short term medical needs and has been so patient and gentle when it comes to taking her medicine and having ointment applied. As long as she gets a treat and a snuggle after, she’s a happy camper!  When she’s not napping in her kennel, Kiara loves to chase our other foster, Zara. She also gets along great with our visiting dog friend, who is about four times her size. Kiara is a confident girl who would do great in any home!
