Story
I’m Fern, a 4-year-old, 48-pound Standard Poodle mix. I was rescued from a hoarding situation down South where there were over 70 dogs. Although I have had a rough past, I am a friendly girl who is eager to learn. I’m great with other dogs, and I crave human attention. I am looking for an adult-only home right now because I have not had experiences with children yet. I am still understanding what it means to be an indoor dog, but I am smart and will learn quickly. I just need a chance at a loving home with patient adopters willing to give me a new life! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you. Available 3/25/25.

Story
Meet Bear – A Special Soul Looking for His Forever Home! 🐾💙 Bear is a stunning, sweet-natured blind Labradoodle with a heart full of love to give! This special boy doesn’t let his lack of sight slow him down—he enjoys exploring safe areas on leash walks and relies on his people for guidance and comfort. Bear gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers laid-back companions over high-energy playmates. He has also lived with a dog-savvy cat and done well! This gentle boy would thrive in a home with teens and adults who understand his needs. A secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal so he can safely roam and enjoy his surroundings. As a Labradoodle, he will need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy, so breed experience or education is a plus! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and truly special companion, Bear is ready to meet you! Start the process today and give this gorgeous boy the loving home he deserves! 🐶💙✨

Story
Krew is a lovable, high-energy pup who’s always ready for fun! Playful and affectionate, he thrives on being around people and absolutely loves a good game of fetch. He’s eager to learn new tricks (especially when treats are involved!) and greets everyone with enthusiasm—though he’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground. This adolescent ball of energy is looking for an experienced, patient owner who can help him continue learning good manners. Krew is still working through some jumpy and mouthy behaviors in his foster home, so he’ll need someone who can guide him with positive reinforcement and structure. He can be a bit anxious with transitions and is still very much a big puppy who likes to get into things! Krew will do best in an adult-only home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and burn off energy. He enjoys having another playful dog around but would also be happy as the center of attention. While he loves adventure, he also appreciates time to relax at home after a full day of play. If you’re looking for an energetic, fun-loving companion and are ready to help him continue learning and growing, Krew could be the perfect match for you!

Dominique is an extremely handsome, very social, black with a touch of white on his chest, male standard poodle born on 3/4/23. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and is a burning, burning hunk of love for sure, so it goes without saying that Dominique loves attention and is ready to bond with his special human. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His adoption donation is $700 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Dominique the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
