Story
This handsome boy is called Beamer and he is a 3 year old 42 pound Poodle. while he doesn’t have the Poodle cut for his face, we can see from his tail to his body conformation that he is most likely a Standard Poodle.  What you can see immediately about Beamer is that he is happy and has a fabulous smile for everyone.  He ended up in a shelter in Tennessee and they held him for 2 weeks to see who might come forward and no one stepped up.  While he might have been a stray, it has not dimmed his bright personality nor ended his love for giving everyone his electric smile.  He is great with other dogs, has been fully vetted and is healthy.  This boy loves to run and play with other dogs in the fenced play yard and soak up all the attention he can get from the humans he encounters.   This is a rare offering to consider adopting a young, healthy Poodle like this who has a sweet temperament and so well-rounded.  He is good on a leash and pretty much has demonstrated that he is housebroken.  Beamer only wants to bring joy and love to someone and in return receive a place to belong and a family that will cherish him.  If you are a family with a fenced yard, time to train and polish this boy to be the best possible companion you have ever loved in your lifetime of owning a dog.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 21, 2025, 1:52 pm

Story
Lovebug is an 8-week-old bundle of joy who lives up to her name—she’s sweet, snuggly, and absolutely irresistible. This fearless little pup is full of personality and always up for an adventure, whether it’s exploring new corners of the house or mastering stairs like a pro (she’s already got that down!). With her beautiful swirl of black, white, and brown fur, Lovebug is as unique as she is adorable. She’s currently a tiny tot, weighing in at under 10 pounds, but don’t let her size fool you—she’s got a big heart and a brave spirit. Her mother is said to be a poodle mix but we don't know about her dad. She has wavy fur! Lovebug is working hard on her potty training and doing great for her age. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate, dreaming of all the cuddles and playtime the next day will bring. She’s looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to grow, learn, and fill her family’s life with love and joy. Could Lovebug be the perfect addition to your family? Lovebug currently has a limp (front right leg) that she came to us with. While this limp has definitely improved since coming to us, it is still present. She was prescribed anti inflammatory medication but she has completed the course of this medication. Our vet has taken x-rays and sees no obvious cause, leading him to believe this limp is temporary and will heal with time. --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. Bentley was 1 year old as of September, 2024 and is a Standard Poodle. This boy has a nice temperament and has gotten along well with large, small and tiny dogs here but was an only dog in his previous home. He has never been around cats so we cannot comment to how he would do with cats. He is  a shy guy though and will not come running to you when you visit him and is timid about new things. However, he has not had any nippy or aggressive issues with us even though he is shy.  He will need some time and patience in a new home. He is house and crate trained and will need to be crated if you leave him home alone. A home where someone is home a lot would probably be best. He does great in a fence and does not try to escape. He loves to take walks and runs. He would do best in a quiet, adult home with experience working with dogs that are a little shy. He is now coming up to everyone here at the rescue for some loves and we love it. Bentley is neutered and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 12:03 pm

Story
Meet Tito! Breed: standard poodle/vizsla mix. Age: est 11 months, est birthdate 2/2024. Weight: 46lbs currently, we believe she will be about 55ish lbs when full grown. Training: crate trained, working on leash training. He is doing well with supervised house training, but will need continued guidance as he has never lived in a home before now. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, he LOVES other dogs. In fact, we believe he would do best with another canine companion in his new home. He doesn't mind cats. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: He is timid/reserved, but once he warms up to you, he will follow you around and want your attention. He is playful with other dogs. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. Tito would do best with a fenced yard and another dog in his home to show him the ropes. He has never known life without another dog, and he really looks to them for guidance. He has a lot of potential. He needs time, love, guidance, and patience to become the wonderful companion we know he is. Tito is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet boy to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $350.January 18, 2025, 9:49 pm
