Thank you for your interest in Lancelot. He is a beautiful boy who lived with a family but things didn't go so well. You see, dogs aren't just perfectly behaved. They need to learn to live in our world and training is so important. Sure, many dogs seem to be naturals, but some are smart, too smart, and these dogs can struggle if not given the right guidance when they are young. Lancelot had some minor things happen when he was young. He was excitable and jumped. He was mouthy. He was really energetic when he met new dogs and this behaviour, though natural, isn't always desirable by people. Instead of working with a trainer his family made his world smaller by keeping him away from things and then they put him on medication to try and ease the issues. All this means Lancelot was a misunderstood boy, just trying to figure things out on his own. When things finally got to be too much for his family they decided to surrender him to SPIN and we're glad he's here with u

He is looking for a nice Standard Poodle family with a securely fenced yard. He would LOVE to be the only dog to be doted on. He LOVES walks, car rides and hanging out with the family. He is crate trained and house trained. He is very smart and knows many commands. He does great with teenagers. No apartments or cats please. Poodle experience is required. She is very affectionate and always smiling. She likes dogs her size, dog beds, laps, bones (to chew on), couches and toys. She is crate trained, loves car ride and walks. She knows command sit. The lack of exposure to life outside the barn, to fun experiences, to wonderful people, makes it hard for them when they are sprung. Life on the outside can be scary even though it's so much better than the barn. Despite her past, Cocoa is making remarkable progress. She's learning to trust and relax, and her loving nature shines through more each day. With the right home, she'll continue to blossom into the wonderful companion she's meant to be.

WATERDOWN, ON - Thank you for your interest in Sun. She found herself in a Quebec shelter. Even though they described her as adorable, friendly, good with children, housetrained and playful, she was not getting noticed by anyone so the shelter asked if we could help her. Of course we said, "Yes!" Who wouldn't notice a beautiful standard poodle?! Soon Sun was in a car and on the way to us and we were thrilled to meet her.

When SPIN was started we never thought we'd see a puppy in the rescue unless that puppy was ill and, to be honest, that's the way it was until covid hit the world. Since then it's been puppies and more puppies. Alfredo is one of those puppies. He was born and didn't sell so into SPIN he came and he made an impression right away! What a sweetie!
