Story
Meet Marty! Marty is estimated to be 13 months old. We say estimated because he came to us on May 25th when he was found with his 2 siblings, his mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. Marty and his two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done to see what was going on with them. The test came back as positive for FHV which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause him to sneeze, showing signs of a little cold. A flareup may happen whenever something stressful comes up and being left in a dog crate at a park is probably what brought it on. It is not a serious condition, but it is contagious to other cats (not to dogs and humans). The full diagnosis name is Feline Herpes Virus. A good diet and a stress-free environment would be excellent for him. Marty is a playful, curious, energetic boy. He and his sibling Moe love to do parkour and chase each other around. He will run in front of you daring you to chase him. Marty is friendly with the fosters dog and with proper introduction, Marty would do well with a small cat friendly dog. Marty is vaccinated, neutered, combo tested negative, rabies and microchipped. If you would like to know more about MARTY, please contact his foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org

Story
Meet Moe! Moe is estimated to be 13 months old. We say estimated because he came to us on May 25th when he was found with his 2 siblings, his mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. He currently weighs 12.8 lbs. so he is not a little guy. Moe and his two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done to see what was going on with them. The test came back as positive for FHV which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause him to sneeze, have a runny nose whenever a flareup occurs. He is such a character compared to his siblings. He acts like a dog! He plays fetch (see his video) and will bring a cat toy to your feet and tap your ankle to throw it so he can fetch it. He is a lap cat, neck cat, armpit cat - he wants to be near his human, if you lay down, he is right there with you, purring up a storm. If he is sitting in a high place and you walk by, he will tap you on your shoulder to see him! Oh, if you say, 'I'm going to get you' and take step towards him, he runs and hides and will run back out to have you chase him! He is dog friendly with the dogs in his foster home. He hasn't been around a larger dog, but I believe as long as the dog is cat friendly and with proper introduction, it would be no problem. Moe is vaccinated, neutered, rabies, combo tested negative and microchipped. If you would like to know more about MOE, please contact his foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org

Story
Meet Patches! Patches was left in a dog crate at a local park with her sibling and her siblings three 6-month-old kittens. We are not sure of her age, but it appears she may be at least 2-3 years old. She is a beautiful white and grey tabby with tuffs of fur jutting out the top of her ears. Patches is a calm, shy, sweet girl with a birdlike meow. She is a talker, letting her foster mom know when she's hungry. She is a little shy and will need someone who will be patient and will allow her to relax and feel comfortable in her new home and environment. Important to note that the 3 kittens found with Patches were found to have a virus that develops upper respiratory symptoms when a flare up occurs. A flare up can occur when stressful situations arise. Patches was found with them, is still living with them and although she has no symptoms, it would be better for her to be adopted as an only cat. Patches foster does have dogs, and she doesn't seem to mind them or pay attention to them. We believe a small cat friendly dog would be a good fit for her. Patches is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, combo tested negative, microchipped. If you would like to know more about PATCHES, please contact her foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. A meet and greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. An application can be obtained at whiskerstails.org

Story
Knuckles is 7 year old male gray tabby who is the sweetest chillest cat. I’ve had him since he was a kitten and he’s had all his shots and is neutered. He is very affectionate and does not bite or scratch humans at all. He loves a good blanket to chill and make biscuits on. He can be a little territorial when it comes to other male cats, but he never fights them. He has flea collar that is on him constantly because he loves to roam outside. Since we’ve had our baby, we have not been able to care for them as greatly cosmetically and financially. I am not pregnant with our second and I know we will not be able to keep up with our cats even more, and do not want them to be or feel neglected at all. This has been such a hard and long decision because we love them, but we feel that they deserve so much more than we are able to give them at this time.

Story
My boyfriend picked Comet up off the side of the road. He took him to the vet to get him checked out. The vet said that he is healthy and received some shots. I just found out I’m pregnant and cannot take care of the cat as well as he deserves. He is a good cat, I just have too much on my plate to take care of him. He comes with a cat tower, collar, litter box, and treats!

Story
I found Max meowing outside my apartment about 2 months ago. He looked lost so I decided to take him in. Luckily he was docile from the beginning and let me carry him inside. He was already potty trained to do his needs in a litter box so I assume he belonged to someone else, though he already got used to doing his needs outside since I tend to take him out to get some fresh air. I already tried looking around for any lost cat posters corresponding to him but have found none. He's very friendly and active (he even tries to play with my dog sometimes), but he'll usually calm down at night to let me sleep. He honestly makes a great pet but unfortunately I don't have enough space nor resources to keep him and wouldn't want to leave him as an outdoor cat since it's already been many times where bigger cats have tried to attack him during his outdoor trips. I would opt for a spacious house with a backyard in case he wants to go out (under supervision when possible).
