Story
I was rescued from the outside. Cold, alone and hungry. Every day is a new day for me. I am still hesitent and shy. Shelter staff did not want to release me back outside; they felt that I deserved the opportunity to find a home and family. I am about 8 to 10 months old. A home with another feline to be my mentor will be comforting. Time and patience would be gifts for me. For information about me and/or the adoption process, email ds4paws@hotmail.com or call Rob at the shelter 508 822 1463. An approved application is rerquired to bring me home.

Story
Moose is very a loving and super sweet boy but sometimes he would rather lay next to you than on you. When he wants to cuddle though, nothing is getting in his way to get you. He loves to eat so if you leave the food out the bag will be gone, and he does love to play with the balls with bells in them and the crinkle balls. He great with other cats, but he doesn’t know personal space when it comes them he will lay on top of another cat and sleep with them for hours. He’s also very good with kids 4 and older, he’s never been around with kids younger but I imagine he would be good with them as well. Due to working two jobs I’m just not home enough to give him the love and attention he needs.

Story
To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston Midnight's journey has been a challenging one; she was attacked by a dog, which left her with nerve damage and incontinence. Her tail had to be amputated, and she was sent to Black Cat Rescue to heal. Despite the hardships she has faced, Midnight has shown remarkable resilience and strength. With the care and support of her foster humans, she has made incredible progress. Her incontinence is now manageable with the help of a diaper, and she has adapted to her new circumstances with grace and determination. Midnight (4 years old) is now ready for her next chapter, a loving home where she can receive the care and attention she deserves. She is a sweet and affectionate cat, with a playful spirit that shines bright. She even still likes dogs!! All she needs is a chance to show you the love and joy she has to offer. Please consider opening your heart and home to Midnight. She has so much love to give and is ready to become a cherished member of your family. Together, we can give Midnight the happy ending she deserves. Here's what her foster human has to say about Midnight:   How would you describe the cat's general personality? Midnight is a friendly and smart girl, she doesn’t hesitate to interact with people.   Does the cat enjoy being pet? If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? She enjoys being pet. Cheeks, head, and back, enjoying rubbing ears and belly too.   Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? She doesn’t like her rear legs being touched. Would move her legs away and give you some look.   Does the cat come on your lap? She loves coming on our laps a lot, many times a day.   Does the cat like to be held? She doesn’t seem like to be held currently, would try to jump away.   Does the cat sleep in your bed? She would if we let her. She loves being around us.   Does the cat seek your attention? Very much! She would meow or jump on our laps.   Does the cat like to play? What are the cat's favorite games and toys? She loves to play, in fact, she asks us to play with her every day. She may play at one toy and grab all the toys around her together.   How vocal is the cat? What kinds of sounds does the cat make? She is vocal when seeing us in the morning, got home or wants to eat. Her voice is very soft.   Does the cat scratch a scratcher? She does, the scratch board is her favorite spot.   Does the cat always use the litter box? If no, please explain. She’s not using the litter box due to the current condition.   What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? She eats both dry foods and wet foods(can foods).   Is the cat picky about food? She is a little picky, loves pate and salmon flavor.   What is the cat's favorite treat? She can’t resist Churu!   Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Yes, when we just met her, she swat at me when rubbing her belly(she likes belly rubbing), but now she doesn’t swat at me.   Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Yes, and also the same situation described above. Sometimes she would claws out, but can’t be sure if that just her claws are a bit sharp, because she doesn’t show full claws.   Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No, she doesn’t.   Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No, she only lightly hold my hand in her mouth when rubbing her belly the first week we met.   To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? She is very friendly to new people, she jumped on and kissed us the first day we met. And I believe she is social and gets along with other pets well.   Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? Her sleeping style can sometimes make us laughing, she would straighten her legs backwards like a Flying supergirl.   In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? She has great personality, smart (fast learner), and gentle. Aside from her special needs, she’s an angel and a good friend.   What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? The most challenge part is her lack of ability to control urine and stools. We change her diapers 4-6 times a day and give her diaper-free times few times a day. Story
To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston Winnie and Minnie are one year old bonded sisters. Here's what their foster human says about them: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Minnie and Winnie are both sweet but nervous cats. Minnie is more adventurous and curious of people. Winnie hangs back more and relies on her sister to figure things out first but is getting braver. But overall both of them are interested, playful and curious girls.   Does the cat enjoy being pet? They do not   Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? They don’t want to be pet.   Does the cat come on your lap? Minnie sat on my lap for the first time the other night! But usually not but they like sitting on the bed near you   Does the cat like to be held? No   Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes, they sleep for a little but they run around. But they join at bedtime and sleep on the bed for a bit.   Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, they come out when I get home from work and come into the kitchen to hang out with me. They ask for treats especially when I am in the kitchen they will watch me and wait for treats. Minnie follows me around, keeps her distance, but follows me around while I cook and putter around the apartment. They also come up to the bed at nighttime to sit with me. They really like watching cat tv on youtube on the phone and it’s good way from them to relax.   Does the cat like to play? Yes!! They love playing with different things on a rod. They love hair ties and cat toy wirey strings.   What are the cat's favorite games and toys? Their favorite games with me are chasing a polar fleece ribbon of the rod. They also love to carry around toy mice. They really love hair ties - they love to take them once I am done using them and they have their own personal collection of them.   How vocal is the cat? Minnie trills sometimes when she’s talking to her sister but Winnie is pretty quiet.   What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Yes, the trills. Neither of them meow at all.   Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes, I have several they use.   Does the cat always use the litter box? Always.   What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? They are night owls but I feed them in the morning and at night. Currently they always have dry food available and wet food twice a day. Dry food: Prescription Hills DIet: GI BIOME. Digestive Care/Fiber Wellness cans: usually Salmon, tuna, or beef flavored   Is the cat picky about food? Yes, but mainly because many of the foods made them sick. But these ones they eat seem to agree with their stomachs.   What is the cat's favorite treat? Minnie likes churus. Winnie does not. But they both really like ‘Wildly Natural Cat Treats: Salmon Flavor’ Every now and then - they get tuna juice.   Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Yes, But only when they are scared and I had to take them to the vet. They are nervous and when terrified they will put their claws out. Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Yes. When trying to take them to the vet. Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Yes. Same as claws. When they need to be caught to go to the vet. Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? Yes, all related to the vet. They are nervous around people but won’t bite unless grabbed.   To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? They tend to be fearful. They are really scared of people wearing shoes. They will run away if you are wearing shoes but much less scared if you are barefoot or sock footed. If you sit still and have toys or treats they will get brave and come out.   Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? So many sweet things about these cats. First off, they are so brave and are trying to trust people. They adore watching cat tv on youtube, the birds at the feeder. They like playing with strings/shoelace/cords. They like to drink water out of mugs that are all around the apartment. They also dip their toys in the water and carry the soggy felt-wire around afterwards.   In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? These cats have been blooming since the start of their foster in Oct. They each have become more brave, more trusting, and more willing to come out during the day to hang out. They ask for treats now and come and watch to sit/sleep on the bed at night. If you want two brave kitties - who are exponentially growing to be more trusting and more social but need someone very patient and who will let them go at their own pace, you are the perfect person for them   What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Biggest challenge is that they are fearful and nervous. Ways to manage this: spending time hanging out with them without interacting until they want to. Rewarding them with treats and new toys and playtime. I try to keep them on a routine so they know when I will feed them and then that makes them come out and see me. Big thing for their fears is being startled by movement - move slowly around them and if possible not wear shoes. He had no issues adjusting to his new environment and explores every inch of a new place. He loves to cuddle and be around his human(s)!I think he'd thrive as a single cat or do well with another confident pet. He's not interested in playing with my resident cat and wants to hog me sometimes. However, they're fine around each other and respect each other's boundaries. He might do best without small children since he can swat/nip when overstimulated (petting too roughly)Does the cat enjoy being pet? Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Yes, once accidentally during play Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Yes, when overstimulated or trying to get attention Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? Never   T o the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Social. He warmed up to me extremely quickly and was laying on top of me within 3 hours of being here. He met one new person and was comfortable approaching them. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? 1) He's the best coworker and loves to join my virtual meetings by sitting on my lap or on top of my arm. 2) He'll jump towards your hand for pets if you're standing. If you won't bring your hand to him, he'll bring himself to you! 3) He likes to check on me in the shower to make sure I'm still alive. 4) He likes to suck and knead his blanket when happy and comfortable. In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? He's a funny boy with lots of love to give! Great cuddler, great companion, and his little fangs are adorable! What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them?
