Story
Autumn is a spunky, goofy and friendly 3 year old girl who has been waiting a very long time for her forever family to find her. She is a small-ish girl at 35 pounds. She will thrive in an active family and would make a super walking, hiking, or running buddy. Autumn rides well in the car and is always up for adventures. She’s great with other dogs and loves all people. Autumn's foster mom says “she’s the sweetest… she enjoys playtime and running around the backyard with our dog, but she’s also a cuddle bug. She loves attention and has SO much love to give!” Autumn will do best with an adopter who is familiar with hound behaviors and quirks. Autumn is housebroken and crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her vetting. If you are a hound fan and would like to make Autumn a member of your family, please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.

Story
Our Chance is an exceptional boy, who has charmed rescue advocates at every stage of his Rescue journey. He loves everybody, and has not flinched at all during a rescue process that leaves lesser dogs rattled.  We've been trying to piece together Chance's backstory, and here's what we know for sure: He was found as a stray in North Carolina, and animal control officers handled him with ease when they brought him to the county shelter. Chance looked weary and malnourished when he arrived at the rural shelter, but his luck improved when the shelter transferred him to our Connecticut Rescue last year so that we could treat him for parasites and find him a a forever home. Chance appears to be a leggy Treeing Walker Coonhound, and he lives up to their lovable reputation. He is a large dog, at a lean weight of 55 pounds. His short, flat tri-colored coat is largely black and tan, with white markings. He has a million dollar profile! Chance is a very gentle boy and would be a great addition to an active family with older, dog savvy kids. He is friendly and will give everyone in the family equal attention. Chance is not one to play favorites, and he is very stranger friendly.  Chance could also join an active single or couple, who can provide at least one to two leisurely leash walks, so that he can meander and stop to smell the "roses." Scent hounds are extremely easy to manage because the leisurely walk that engages their senses, provides much needed mental and physical exercise. Chance has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. If you are interested in Chance, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860 908 9738 for more info.

Story
Sweet Lynda Layne was found in a cornfield eating rotten moldy corn from the ground. She was nothing more than a skeleton with skin. She weighed 31 pounds, now she weighs 50 pounds! We have before pics upon request. She was depressed, starving and defeated, dumped by her owner, as is very common in the south. When a hound dog doesn't hunt the way their owner wants them to, they take them for "the ride". Lynda was one of the lucky ones, she was found by a wonderful lady who took her home and then posted her on Facebook. Of course the owner never came so we took her into the rescue. The first night she was here, she never left my side. She even went potty on the pee pads! She has never had an accident in the house and sleeps by my side every night. You won't find a sweeter more loving dog than Lynda! She is young and healthy. Crate trained, microchipped, fully vaccinated and heart worm negative. She desperately needs a loving home. Could that be you? PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE: $500
