Marvin is a 3 1/2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix who weighs 56 pounds. He's absolutely the sweetest boy who loves his people. He's potty trained and he doesn't have to be crated even when you aren't home. He is skittish and growls at male kids (we are working on correcting behavior), great with dogs, ran from the neighborhood cat when it came to the fence. He doesn’t like loud noises, the vacuum, or a broom, he will run and hide in his bed far away. He loves to jump on his hind legs in excitement. Pulls on a leash at the beginning of the walk but does settle down and walk calmly after a few minutes. He loves to have a backyard to run in. He does get the zoomies and hops around like a bunny once a day but other than that lounges around. He loves to lay in his dog bed at night next to your bed! August 19, 2024, 1:45 pm

When Timber first came to SICSA back in January of 2022, he was a rude and rowdy young lad with no training and zero socialization with other animals. Fast-forward to a year and a half later, and you would hardly recognize him as the same dog! Timber has been working his tail off (pun intended) with our behavior team; he now knows some basic commands and has started making friends with other dogs! Timber loves puzzle toys, scent work, and exploring the great outdoors with his human and canine friends. We are guessing Rocky to be between 5-7 years old. He is calmer and would be fine as an only dog but also does okay with other dogs, he just doesn't seem to need a canine companion. He is more set in his ways and is relearning that people are good. He enjoys being pet and is social, but he doesn't like to be forced to do something before he is ready. We anticipate that he will bond quickly with his new family, but would do best if that family could give him the space that he needs while he learns to trust them. He is completely crate trained. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration).
