He was dirty and matted and his nails were curling back into his paws. He luckily found himself in the yard of a long=time animal lover and fosterer. He was posted on several sites and no one claimed this old man as theirs/ He had no microchip. This old man still has some good years left in him. As an old man Beau has had some health issues he has had a prolapse. It was repaired and he doing much better. The vet recommends using laxatives daily to prevent ptoblems. He is permanently on lactalise medication and adopters must be willing to take this expense on. Charlie and Gidget are still looking for their forever home together after being with us for over a year!! Sadly their owner passed away and there is no family that can care for them. Charlie is 12 years old, neutered and weighs 11 lbs. He is believed to be a Pembroke/Chihuahua mix. He is the sweetest little cuddle bug. He is a happy, sensitive, lap loving boy. All he wants is your love, affection, to hang out with Gidget and eat doggie treats. He enjoys playing with his soft toys and keeping them gathered in a tidy pile. Gidget is a 9 ½ year old terrier mix, spayed and weighs in at a tiny 7.5 lbs. Gidget is missing her right front leg due to an accident when she was only a few weeks old. She gets around very well and can climb stairs and slopes just fine, but needs assistance going down some staircases and on steep downhill slopes as it is hard on her back. She will also need assistance to climb up into your lap or sit beside you, which are her happiest spots. She is curious, peppy, lovable and charming. One more thing, when Gidget looks in the mirror she sees a Great Dane! Charlie and Gidget are cuddle buddies and are inseparable. They are both lap dogs and don’t mind sharing a single lap. They eat together, play together, sleep together and they must stay together as a bonded pair. They are both housetrained and will let you know when they need to go out. They are also trained to go on pee pads. They get along well with other small gentle dogs but neither of them has ever met a cat. They both enjoy short walks. Charlie keeps a watchful eye on Gidget and will not go back inside the house without her. They love their doggie beds and fuzzy blankets and lie in them wherever you place them as long as they are together. They will alert you of potential danger with a couple barks but will quiet instantly with a gentle hush. These pups merrily greet you when you come home and will be the perfect companions to someone who needs them as much as they need you. No out of state adoptions , Northern california will Not BE accepted. NOthing in the LA or La county will not be accepted. -- Needs to be in orange county - parts of South county is fine, or Yorba LINda -- prefer Orange County if possible Poor thing been Bounced around quite a bit.. Unforanately -- someone older lady couldn't take care of him any longer so this younger lady finally got him. Due her work schedule she couldn't keep him. Now he going to our rescue organization as of 7/8/24 he will be with Girls of Dog Rescue. Puppy criteria--- Puppies in our rescue MUST have another dog in the home between 1-4 years old under 15 pounds roughly -- Will not be able to go into a home by himself without any other dog present. He’s dog friendly Cat friendly Kid friendly He’s still potty training I noticed he only uses the restroom in the restroom -- NOT POTTY TRAINED He weighs about 16 pounds I’m guessing because he’s kind of heavy 8 months He’s not neutered or spayed-- Be scheduling soon as possible get him neutered. Not vaccinated --- tomorrow-- 7-7-24 Current location is Santa Ana California He doesn’t bite He gets A little anxiety --but I think it’s because he’s still adjusting to new things The owner has had him for 8 months-- the owner is getting older and she can take care of him and she just lost her husband.
