Story
Lars brings the more to Labs and More as a 18 lb Yorkie and possibly Norwich Terrier mix. This pint sized cutie found himself in the shelter with a broken leg. Thankfully we were able to rescue this boy, get him the surgery he needed and now he is doing well recovering in a foster home. Lars is obedient and eager to please with a loving, affectionate and cuddly personality. He is a great lap dog. Lars is crate trained, walks well on leash with just a little pulling and has learned his commands Stay, Sit and Place. He is good with young children, rides well in the car and did well when he was groomed. Lars does bark a bit at other dogs and needs a slow introduction with other dogs and time to adjust so is probably not a good dog park dog. He may be happiest as the only dog in his forever home, but would do ok with other dogs with a proper introduction. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Lars, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Story
Pika's personality can be described as: a cat in a dog's body. He is beautiful but only allows you to pet him on his terms, which is rarely. He grumbles/growls when affection is unwanted and retreats to his crate. He loves laying in the shade. Pika will tolerate dog's in the house but will go after outsiders on/off leash. He takes medication for allergies and she has a collapsing trachea. Pika is potty trained but still needs a belly band indoors to avoid occasional marking. He will do best in a quiet serene setting so not to aggravate his cough by barking. He has lameness in his back legs which cause him to occasionally stumble and fall when walking. For his age, Pika has good pep and will bring cat joy in dog form for many more years. He is part of Thrive's Forever Foster Program - Thrive covers all age related care to keep your Forever Foster comfortable and thriving! ##1781400##

Story
Meet Rascal! Rascal and his brother Snoopy were entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after their mom passed away on May 18th. He is 13 years old and weighs 5 lbs. The same day that Rascal and Snoopy became Frosted Faces - May 24th - they were chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling. We learned a lot about what they are like in a home! Their Fling Mom reports: "Snoopy and Rascal love each other and look out for each other. They seek each other out and give each other kisses. - They are the easiest pups to bathe. No problems at all. - They love to eat. Snoopy is eating out of a slow feeder because he gobbles his food quickly. Rascal waits for him to finish so he can lick the bowl. Snoopy goes to get my dog's food but understands "no" and then waits waits patiently. - They sleep through the night, no problem. They are very chill dogs and sleep a lot during day. They have moved into my bed and sleep soundly. - Rascal LOVES squeaky toys and plays with them all. Snoopy doesn't care about toys. - They love going out for walks. Rascal rides in the stroller, but Snoopy is quite the walker. - They love their human. They both love to be by you or on your lap. Snoopy will nudge your hand so you can pet him while sitting by you. They will follow you everywhere. These two are the easiest, most loving pups."

Story
Meet Zoey Meringue! 12-year-old Zoey Meringue was entrusted to our care through our Final Wish Program after her mom's dementia advanced, and she could no longer properly care for her beloved dog. Zoey Meringue joined her family as a puppy and lived happily with another small dog for over 8 years. She is still playful and loves being near her human for comfort. On the day Zoey Meringue was brought to FFF, she was chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling. We are glad this sweet little girl will be getting extra TLC in the comforts of a home. Her Fling Mom shared a great first update: "Zoey is a 9 pound bundle of absolute sweetness. This is what l have learned about her so far: * She rides like a perfect angel in the car. * She gets along well with all dogs, big and small. And she has no problem interacting with my Mini Schnauzer. * Zoey got pretty excited meeting my two cats who bravely went nose to nose with her. She barked once, they ran off, and she stood there wagging her tail happily. * Zoey sleeps quite a lot during the day and prefers to bury herself in a big soft blanket on the couch. She likes to keep an eye on and be close to the humans. * At night, she sleeps in her own bed right next to my pillow. So far, Zoey sleeps quietly all night but does get up a few times to get a drink of water. She puts herself right back to bed. * This girl is a big foodie. She prefers 3 smaller meals during the day rather than two big ones. She is not a picky eater. She will gobble down canned or kibble Science Diet. So far no signs of food guarding. * Zoey is potty trained and lets you know she has to go outside by running to one of the outside doors. I have been taking her out every 3-4 hours, which seems to work for her. * Zoey is great on a leash. Although she sleeps a lot, she has a ton of energy when she goes for a walk, (Well, let's call it a jog)! My dog walks fast too, so it works out ok. * She is very nimble. She can jump high up into the car. * I'm pretty sure Zoey is hard of hearing. She's not deaf. As long as you speak loudly, she will follow commands like, "Stop "Come or "Go outside. Check back soon for the next update!
