Story
Everybody at Muttville has a little bit of a crush on Jacket Potato. He's suave and good-looking in a way that is immediately recognizable even across species. He's sweet, gets along with everybody, and is even rumored to be house trained. Move over Timothee Chalamet, we have a new heartthrob. Here's some notes from his foster: He is calm, curious and unfazed by our 90-lb dog (who tries to engage him in play as of this morning) or our bold, social cat. He is not a big snuggler or cuddler, but he appreciated the chance to sleep beside his human. He is nicely, politely housebroken. He enjoys a slow daily walk of 3-5 city blocks, especially when it features treats. He loves to sleep and relax. He is the best study buddy, reading partner, and late night binge watching partner ever. He has the most calm demeanor and is such a good boy. He is best in a calm environment.

Story
Meet Finn: Your Adventure Buddy in a Pint-Sized Package! Finn is a 6-month-old Yorkie mix with a heart full of love and an impressive set of skills. Currently, he is 8lbs. He should weigh between 10-20 lbs as an adult. This little guy has "soul dog" potential. Finn loves people so much that he literally leaps into your arms, and we’re starting to think he might have kangaroo genes with how high he can jump! Finn's the ultimate playmate, excelling at fetch (he’ll bring the ball back and drop it at your feet!) and tug-of-war. If you don’t feel like going for a hike or a run, a good game of fetch will tire him out. Finn’s love is boundless, but he does come with a few quirks. He’s mouthy which means he uses his mouth to demand attention. This will improve with training and as he grows out of the velociraptor stage of puppyhood, but right now, Finn isn’t suited to a home with small children. Finn also struggles with some separation anxiety and will make his displeasure known if left alone. Finn would thrive in a home where he can be with his people most of the time, and with a family who will work on training as you would with any puppy. Training will help Finn with his separation issues. Finn loves to play with other dogs and is still learning proper manners. However, he can be a bit of an annoying young whippersnapper, especially to older or more laid-back dogs, so he’d do best as an only dog or with playful canine companions. Potty training is still a work in progress, but Finn is smart and eager to learn, so consistency and patience will go a long way. Finn would make a great match for an active adopter looking for a small but mighty companion. He loves hikes, runs, and even errands, happily riding along in a backpack carrier. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic pup to join your adventures and keep you laughing, Finn is ready to leap into your life (and your arms)! Finn is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for FINN is $500. If you are interested in adopting FINN, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ January 24, 2025, 6:56 pm

Story
Rosie's story is a bit tragic and complicated. Not very long ago, Rosie suffered a traumatic event to her head which left her blind and with the difficulty of being able to walk straight (RESOLVED), find her food or water (RESOLVED), and ultimately survive without very special help (RESOLVED). She was taken to the emergency hospital severely dehydrated, comatose, and near death. Her owners, who loved her very much, were unable to afford care and thus without treatment Rosie would have been euthanized. Seeing that Rosie has so much to do and so much love to receive and give, one of the emergency technicians on staff requested she be surrendered to the hospital where the technician could provide financial support, treatment, and rehabilitation to Rosie. Rosie fought hard and long for her recovery, and she won 🙂 Rosie is now rehabilitated and independent! Rosie's last challenge is to find her forever home :)

Story
Please meet Augie. He is such a calm, sweet guy. He NEEDS a home. He is so gentle that he just doesn't do well in a rescue situation. It can be a foster home or a forever home. But a home he needs! He has gained some weight in rescue but with regular walks and outings, I am sure he will get back to a good weight. He does well with other dogs but he prefers to just stay out of trouble and clear of hoopla! I just know he would LOVE to have someone to spend time with him. Doesn't need much...just some love. If you think Augie might work in your life, please text your interest to be sent on online application form or print your own from the Forms section at wrenyorkierescue.org as well as reading the “how it works” section to understand the Rescue process. Again, even a foster would be wonderful! As a foster, if you live near the rescue, we will supply his food. Thanks for considering sweet Augie.
