Story
This little guy has been through so much and deserves a home where he can feel safe and loved! When Dexter joined the rescue five months ago, he needed extensive medical care—including the removal of his damaged right eye, a dental, and a neuter. Once he recovered, he underwent surgery to repair his left leg, followed by another procedure eight weeks later to fix his right leg. Now that he’s feeling much better, Dexter enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle and prefers to do his own thing—often lounging comfortably in his playpen. Dexter is a bit "spicy" so his new owner will need to take it slow with him and let him adjust to his new environment. Dexter is a 10-year-old, 8 lb Yorkie mix who would thrive in a calm environment with no young children (under 15) or energetic dogs. While he’s not a fan of kennels, he travels perfectly in a carrier. Due to his time on the streets, he occasionally has a marking habit, so we recommend using a belly band initially. If you’re ready to give Dexter the loving, peaceful home he deserves, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2219852##

Story
Birdie is feeling so much better after her eye surgery and dental—she had seven teeth pulled and is already on the mend! This sweet 7 1/2 year old, 20 lb. Yorkie mix is ready to find her forever home. Her foster parents say she’s working hard on shedding a few pounds but taking it slow to ensure a healthy transition. Following the vet’s advice, they’ve adjusted her diet by replacing half of her food with fresh vegetables—and she’s loving it!   Since her surgery, Birdie’s personality has truly blossomed. She enjoys the company of other dogs and has even started to play! She has the cutest little run and is quite silly. She’s both kennel and potty trained and would thrive in just about any environment, whether with or without other dogs. If you think Birdie would be a wonderful addition to your family, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Story
Small and playful, great company. We’re becoming a very busy little family and don’t want to leave her alone for long periods of time. Hoping to find a great family with kids for her. She loves to run out if she sees the door open, so you have to be very careful with that! Will transfer microchip info to new owner.

Story
Felicity (nickname Izzy) is a 5 year old, 16 lb Yorkie mix. This little girl had a rough start in life and will need a very specific type of home. She is still learning to trust, and has made great progress at her foster home, but she can still be timid and fearful at times. She recently gained enough confidence to get a makeover, so please check out her before and after pics. Felicity is not super affectionate yet, but that should also come with time and patience. Izzy is a flight risk, so she needs a home with a securely fenced back yard where she will be content to play and sunbathe under strict supervision. No leash walking for her in the beginning, but leash training with a mandatory harness is in her future. She loves to play with toys and will collect them and play with them all day. She would do well with another small, playful companion dog. Izzy came to us with a serious eye injury, so her eye had to be removed. This has not had any negative effect on her, and she actually feels a lot better. She has some allergies, so she may need allergy meds or shots from time to time. If you can provide Felicity with a calm, quiet, all adult home, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Meet Sage, a sweet 5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hey everybody, it's February. Foster mommy tells me there's a sweet holiday in this month and I can't wait to learn about it. She calls it Valentine's Day and that there's a Cupid guy flying around with a bow and arrow matching pups like me and people like you together fur furever. I am ready for you to find me and my heart and take us home with you. Since my last update, I have gotten really, really brave. I've learned how to navigate the whole house so I am feeling more and more comfortable here even if it took a while. My new thing is I'm going into the living room where foster mommy and the rest of the pups hang out and I'm wanting to hang out and nap with them. I let Foster mommy know when I want to get on or off the couch by putting my paws on her. Sometimes I even try and become a lapdog and try and sloth my way on her lap while she's answering emails and stuff so I'm learning how to share my love with my foster mommy now. The other day when we were all outside doing yardwork, I walked for the first time all the way around the covered pool two times. It was such a beautiful day outside. I decided to take to just chill on the sidewalk. So I'm getting braver and braver outside too. I don't know about that grass stuff tho but I guess with time I'll learn how to walk on that too. In December, I had my yearly check up. Everything looked good. So I'm good to go for another year. I do have to go see my eye doctor this month so she can check my eyes. I have to go twice a year. I don't need eye drops , but we want to make sure I'm not getting dry eye. But as you can see in my pictures I have the most beautiful eyes. So that's about what's new with me. If you have any questions you can reach out to Foster mommy At stickhors@gmail.com If you have any extra dollars in your wallet or purse, could you think about donating o United Yorkie Rescue. Your donations to them is what has helped me with all of my medical bills. Thank you so much, Sage

Story
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be. I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.
