Story
Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Kylie, 847-854-9920, kcfletcher93@gmail.com:   MEET DUKE #16!! Duke is a happy, loving boy who only want love, snuggles and play time. He is wonderful with children, but he has not had many interactions with other animals, so that is an unknown. Duke is a young, high-energy boy. He needs an active person to give him lots of walks, runs and play time. He is house trained, crate trained, uses a doggy door and walks good on a leash.  Duke has been around other dogs, but would do best as only dog or with dog savvy parents with experience to make sure the right match.  Duke is looking for a new home at no fault of his own. His current is unable to meet his needs and energy level. Are you looking for a big, busy lovebug? Meet Duke today! If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com  PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Different policies and fees may apply. August 18, 2024, 6:51 pm

Story
You may recognize Dunphy as a television celebrity. Dunphy is a 1-1/2 to 2 year old handsome, friendly, intelligent Akita blend who arrived to us as a stray. Upon rescue back in October 2023, we quickly realized he had double hip dysplasia. He has successfully had both hips repaired and rehabilitated. Dunphy was the beneficiary of our January Yard Sale, and Holly Bock with 3TV attended the event and spent four hours showcasing Dunphy, while he was still recovering from the first surgery. He's a wonderful guy and would love to find a forever home soon! Dunphy is residing with one of our amazing foster homes and will be available to meet from 10am-4pm on Saturdays, at the adoption center. You may also schedule a weekday meeting, by emailing Debbie@AzFriends.orgNo appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
I first met Roku in Dallas, Texas. He is a pure breed of Japanese Akita Inu. He was only three-month-old and just a little tiny pup. His birthday is Aug. 22, 2022. He is shy and sensitive but always super sweet and kind to me. Now he is about nine months old, and he never barked at me even once, never ran away once when I recall him. But when he is with me, when he's growing up now, I finally realize that maybe i am not the best owner for him, he deserves a better home and a happy doggy life with someone who can really spend a lot of time with him. There are some changes happening in my life and I will travel more frequently in the near future. It's really hard to make the decision but I hope the best for him and that he can be truly happy. The adoption fee there is setting a bar for selecting people who is financially stable and is serious about giving him a new home. But it's always negotiable, just reach out to me if you are an experienced dog owner. Thanks.

These pups are in Buckeye, Arizona too!

Story
Skye is a very sweet and healthy husky that loves to cuddle, go for walks and eat treats. She is 8 years old (born in March of 2016) but full of energy. Skye is very quiet and you will rarely hear her bark. We are unfortunately moving away and unable to bring her with us. Hoping to rehome her to a good home very soon.
