Story
A volunteer spent time with Ren and had this to say: `This big boy is a Huggy Bear! He is playful and affectionate, choosing to lean into your legs, and sometimes will try to full-on hug you while standing. He enjoys having his back and chest scratched with a comb to remove excess fur. Ren will give you his belly for rubs and pets, and playfully swat at you with his giant paws. He does have a good bit of energy, hopping around, encouraging you to play with him! He doesn’t appear to be highly treat motivated - it took me a few different treats to find one he’d actually take, and even then, he wasn’t excited about it. No, he appears mostly driven by love and scratches. He’ll probably be best with an owner who will appreciate his need for affection, and won’t be intimidated by his size, as he will DEFINITELY go for hugs.`

Story
Hannah was rescued from Moreno Valley  Animal Shelter. She was adopted but returned to the shelter. She has a very sad story. She is Akita/German Shepherd mix, weighs about 56 lbs. She is about 4 yrs old. She is a sweetest dog. She is friendly with people and dogs. Even if dogs nip at her she would walk away. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She was taken to her foster and was there for over a month. One day foster called the rescue and said she was stolen from his car. Foster had AC on for her in the car with all windows closed and doors locked but driver's side door. He went inside the store for few minutes by the time he came back dog was gone ( stolen). Then he got a text from a lady saying how could you throw the dog out of your car window while driving. Foster accidentally forwarded that text to a rescue . Rescue team contacted the number on the text and it was someone who witnessed the foster throwing the dog out of the car window. The witness was going opposite direction and saw foster throwing the dog out of car window. Witness made a turn, got the dog and took Hannah to Carson Animal Shelter. Foster was begging rescue to give the dog back and even wanted to adopt her but rescue team denied it and picked up Hannah from the shelter. Hannah is with rescue now and safe.  She is healthy and nothing major happened to her. Hannah is looking for her forever home, foster or foster to adopt. If you are interested in any of that please contact the rescue  August 16, 2024, 2:13 am

Story
Meet Poncho – Your Adventure-Loving Best Friend! Poncho is a sweet and goofy Husky/Shepherd mix who is full of love and always ready for an adventure! This big-hearted boy adores people and soaks up every bit of attention and affection he can get. Whether it’s exploring new trails, going for walks, or splashing in the waves at the beach, Poncho is the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle. In his foster home, Poncho has made incredible progress. When he first arrived, he struggled with severe separation anxiety and couldn’t be left alone. Thanks to the patience and dedication of his foster family, Poncho is now able to stay home comfortably for short periods of time—he’s come a long way! Poncho gets along well with other large dogs but isn’t a fan of small dogs, so he’d do best in a home without any pint-sized pups. He thrives in an active household where someone is home most of the time to give him the attention he craves. Poncho is also known to be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure home and yard are a must to keep this curious explorer safe. With no medical issues and a playful spirit, Poncho is ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always up for an adventure, Poncho is your guy!
