Story
This young guy is super fun and a total looker. He’s an athlete for sure….. he just may not know the rules of the game….. but he’s super up to learn! He is really friendly and eager to play, but also just loves getting attention (treats are good too) and knowing what was going on. He seems to be an Akita mix and definitely has that Akita attentiveness. He’s a nice mid size (much smaller than a standard Akita) and has a medium level of fluff. He will need regular brushing to maintain that fluff, and regular exercise to manage his play level. In return, he will be your absolute bestie forever! You will never have a better bestie than him! You also will have a dog photo for any occasion at the ready on your camera roll cuz you’re gonna take so many pictures of this heartbreaker. Tonga will need some basic training and a nice consistent walk/ exercise/play routine.

#A5678949 Keanu is a playful, fun puppy with beautiful markings. He looks like an Akita mix, possibly with husky since he’s smaller than most Akitas. Racoon-like markings on his face are super cute!     - Tricolor markings, white with black and tan, gorgeous long fur - Affectionate boy loves scratches and getting lots of attention - About 7 months and 43 pounds - Needs basic training, should be quick to learn since he loves treats as a motivator - Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center with his mom, dad, and siblings, as owner surrenders on February 10 - Not yet neutered when we met him so a trust waiver will be required if that procedure has not been done by his adoption day   KEANU’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/k_A For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit@ jsumphotography    Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER. Story
If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and endlessly affectionate companion, Stella is your girl! This two-year-old husky is an absolute lovebug who adores cuddling just as much as she loves playing. She’s never met a stranger—her friendly, outgoing personality makes her the perfect best friend for an active and affectionate home. Stella has a floppy front leg due to a past surgical issue, but don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow her down one bit! She’s still full of energy, joy, and a zest for life. She’s also crate trained, making her an easy addition to your home. While she’s fantastic with older children, her playful energy may be a bit much for small toddlers. She’d do best in a home without cats but gets along well with people and other compatible dogs. Stella is ready to bring love, fun, and plenty of cuddles into her new home! She’s available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area, and transport may be possible for the perfect match. Are you ready to welcome this sweet, friendly, and resilient girl into your life? Story
Meet Bernard – The Perfect Gentleman! Looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion? Bernard is your guy! This handsome 5-year-old Husky is the definition of a true gentleman—polite, easygoing, and always a pleasure to be around. Bernard has impeccable manners and is as chill as they come. He walks beautifully on a leash, is crate-trained, and absolutely loves car rides—he’ll be your perfect road trip buddy! Whether you’re out for a stroll or relaxing at home, Bernard is happy just being by your side. He loves nothing more than resting his head in your lap, soaking up tummy rubs, and enjoying quiet companionship. At a big but gentle size, Bernard would do best in a home with older children, as he might accidentally knock over little ones in his excitement. While he’s incredibly friendly and easy to handle, he’s not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is best. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving, and well-behaved dog to complete your family, Bernard is ready to be your loyal best friend. Come meet this wonderful boy today—he’s waiting for a forever home to call his own! Bernard is currently available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area, but transport may be possible for the perfect match.
