Meet Toffee, our fun-loving 2-year-old Akita mix! Brought to the shelter as a stray by her owner’s significant other, Toffee is a bundle of energy and personality. She’s highly treat motivated, which makes training a treat for both her and her future family. While she shows little interest in toys, she’s all about the snacks!Toffee is still working on her leash manners and can be a bit exuberant when she wants attention—watch out for those enthusiastic jumps! ?? When she gets excited or frustrated, she can become a little mouthy, and she’s not a fan of having her paws touched, often nudging your hand away. She prefers to have her space and can get anxious with restraint.Toffee was introduced to another dog named Shep. She greeted him with a friendly sniff and even tried to initiate play by jumping and mouthing his muzzle and legs. However, her play style can be a bit rough, so she’d do best with a dog her size or larger who can handle her energy! One thing to note—Toffee is quite fixated on cats. She’ll try to find a way into their space, and even when redirected, her attention quickly goes back to them. Just the other day, a feral cat hissed at her, and Toffee became super excited, fixating on the cat until she left the room.Akitas are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and strong-willed nature. They thrive on positive reinforcement training and socialization from an early age. Swan is almost 3 months old and is a sassy ball of energy. Shes fluffy, and the cutest, Akita,Husky, Cattle Dog mix. It’s getting harder and harder to get pictures of her as she loves to wiggle around! New tricks this week….she’s mastered the doggie door, can scarf down her food under 2 minutes, and is becoming quite the climber. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and learning to potty outside. She loves kids and can match their energy. Shes eager to please! She’s going to be a big dog and has huge puppy paws. Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! For instance, I am a busy boy, I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Hello All! Meet Lulu Belle. She is a 1 year old Akita/Pitbull mix puppy. Her birthday is February 8th 2024. She is up to date on all her shots and she is spayed as well. She is a very sweet and friendly pup and also active and energetic. She's very playful....loves to play and she is really good with playing by herself with her toys. She likes to play fetch and tug of war. She does really well with other dogs and loves the outdoors as well. She is pretty good about letting me know when she has to go potty but if ignored or take a bit to let her out she will have an accident. She will need an experienced person with patience and love because she can be quite stubborn at times when training. She needs a really good home for I am no longer able to keep her.
