FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Nikko! He is an awesome 2-year-old, 75lb Akita/Golden Retriever mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is an amazing dog that is going to make a great adventure companion and addition to any lucky household that adopts him. Nikko gets along well with others, has done great with other dogs in our care, and is always in a great mood. He walks very well on a leash and does not pull much. He is a very well-balanced dog of being calm yet also able to be active when you need him to be. He is mellow for the most part, except when he sees grass in which he loves to go crazy and roll around in it! He is very sweet, loving, and will make a loyal companion. Nikko would make a great additional dog in a home, or he would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He also does great getting groomed and his nails trimmed, as he is a very patient and trusting dog with his handler. And who couldn’t love that big fluffy bear head and those adorable ears?! He enjoys his daily walks where he gets to smell lots of cool smells and meet new people. He also relishes his nap times (if you’ve got a rug, he’ll be so pleased). Though he’s not a fan of baths, Kai is a champ when it comes to being brushed and having his nails trimmed. He does eat and drink pretty fast - so he prefers puzzle feeders and slow drinking, anti-spilling water bowls to keep his tummy from getting upset. Ursa enjoys walking, spending time with people, and getting lots of love. She is smart and trainable, she already knows sit and will be eager to learn and grow with her family. She seems to possibly have some house training as well! Ursa does great with other dogs and would benefit from a home with a second dog, or in a home that can continue socialization with her. She is young and playful! Ursa still has some growing to do and would do great in a home that has large breed experience. We are looking for a home with a yard for Ursa, and due to her breed and future size, she would do best in a home without lots of stairs. Ursa is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped.

My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old male Akita - Jindo mix. I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home. I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly. I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection! On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup. My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Hi, meet Cali, the sweetest husky about 4-6yrs old. She has a heart full of love for humans and even cats. She would definitely need to be tested with your cat but she loved the kitty her foster had. She's picky with her doggy friends and sometimes takes a little time before she decides if she likes them, probably just a great slow introduction works best for a starting good relationship. She has a fun personality with lots of energy and is a strong girl who gets excited for playtime so maybe young kids aren't best suited for our sweet Cali as we don't want small kids getting knocked over. She would love to have an active family for hikes, walks and all the fun adventures. She would be a fabulous best friend but if there is another dog in the home, she's protective about her food and toys so keeping that separate might be best or teaching her how to share.
