Story
Meet Zeke! Zeke was so well loved at the shelter that he lasted six weeks before he was in danger of losing his life. Luckily we stepped in and we definitely lucked out getting this guy. Zeke is a pretty chilled dude. He is a thick, short boy with big, soulful eyes that are hard to say no to. Zeke loves to be close: seeking attention and sitting on your feet. He enjoys being anywhere you are. Zeke gets on with other dogs but hadn't been well socialized before and still needs work on his manners: slow introductions are best, according to our trainer. He is neutered, up to-date on vaccines and microchipped. Zeke would make someone a great pet and companion! Could that be you?December 30, 2023, 12:05 am

Story
Beautiful Handsome Sweet Snoop Snoop is our handsome 2 year old foster pup with the CUTEST features.l with a permanent smile. He never meets a stranger. He loves dogs, kids, belly rubs, loves to give kisses and get kisses, and loves everyone he meets. He really is the very best pup. 🐾 He is potty trained and sleeps well in the kennel and in the bed - you never hear a peep out of him! He rarely barks even when he is outside playing in our fenced in yard. He also rides well in the car and LOVES the dog park. He is the absolute messiest drinker of water and he has no clue he is making a mess. He just looks at us with a smile.❤️ He also likes to walk me until he gets tired and then he does very well. 😂 We walk almost every morning in our neighborhood. He loves and looks forward to his walks. He also thinks everyone wants a kiss from him and I had to tell him that not everyone loves kisses.😢 So we are working on this. He also chases Magzy, our cat, squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks. Really anything that moves, but I really think he wants to just play. He has never caught anything and I am not sure what he would do if he did, but he would be best in a home with no cats. Snoop is a great adventure buddy, but also a great snuggler, loves to sleep under the covers, and deserves the best life! He loves to play ball and bring it back, but only for a snack and in the house. For some reason, he won't fetch it outside. We have been working on this. He will make his forever family so happy and be their best friend, but it’s going to have to be the perfect fit for me to let him go. I would love to keep him, but I am not able to. I love you so much sweet Snoop. The perfect home would be an individual or family that is active and loves to walk, run, hike with their pup and spend time with them. I won't accept anything less. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Snoop is a handsome 1 year old pup with the CUTEST features. He will be 2 on May 27th. He loves dogs, kids, belly rubs, loves to give kisses and get kisses, and everyone he meets. His foster describes him as the “very best dog” and wishes she had room to keep him🐾 He is potty trained and sleeps well in the kennel - you never hear a peep out of him! He rarely barks even when he is outside playing in our fenced in yard. He does chew when he is bored, but his foster family is working with him on this. He also rides well in the car and LOVES the dog park. He is the absolute messiest drinker of water and he has no clue he is making a mess. He also likes to walk his foster. 😂 We have been working on this. This boy is a great adventure buddy, but also a great snuggler, loves to sleep under the covers, and deserves the best life! He loves to play ball and bring it back, but only for a snack. 😂 He will make his forever family so happy and be their best friend, but it’s going to have to be the perfect fit since he came back to us at no fault of his own. His previous family just didn’t have time for him. He was wonderful with their kids. They are also willing to talk to a potential adopter. Snoop still goes to visit his former family because their son misses him so much. They want so much for him to find a wonderful forever home 💙 Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. Her friendliness, however, doesn’t necessarily extend to other dogs. She can be a bit of a bully when she thinks she can get away with it. Bulma was raised outside with her brother (who was recently adopted). They had food, water, shelter and love from their human, but they were never allowed to live inside. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for them, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can be an only dog and get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time behind the fence with the dogs, but this hasn’t been tested and verified since entering rescue. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Reina is 3 years old and loves adventures. Her favorite activities are swimming, hiking, car rides and paddle boarding. She loves the bed and will stay sleeping with you until you decide to get up. She is reactive with a high prey drive so we consider her an only child. She cannot be with any other animal. She is good with people once she knows them and is the sweetest girl. She has a funny personality that is so easy to love. Reina is also a Velcro dog, she will only be outside if you go with her and same for any room of the house.

Story
Brohm has a cleft palate, but it doesn't slow him down, he can do very well self-feeding with the right sized pellets but may need extra attention if you give him treats. Brohm loves just about everyone. He thinks he's a lap dog and loves to give kisses. Good with cats and lizards. He can be snappy with little kids and dominant men. But you will know right off the bat with him. Loves women dominant and not. He has a very different bark for things or people he doesn't know. It’s a scream bark. If you put out a decoration he has never seen or didn't see you put it out he scream barks at it. Till you show him it's okay and you're okay. I can't say honestly how he is with men, woman, strangers, and children. It honestlydepends on them and you. He will pick up on your energy very quickly.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
