Story
Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Introducing May, a resilient and courageous dog who has overcome great adversity in her life. For several months, May found herself wandering the streets, facing the challenges of survival on her own. During this time, she endured a prolapsed vagina, a painful condition that required urgent medical attention. Though people in the neighborhood attempted to help her, her fear and mistrust kept her at a distance. Fortunately, fate intervened when one of our compassionate fosters caught sight of May and recognized the urgency of her situation. With a clever plan involving fries as bait, May was coaxed close enough to be safely captured. Immediately, she was taken to the veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgery to repair her injury. May is now ready for a new chapter in her life, filled with endless love, security, and happiness. If you're searching for a quiet and affectionate canine companion who will steal your heart with a single smile, look no further than May. Come and meet her, and witness the incredible transformation she has undergone. May is waiting with open paws to bring joy and warmth into your life. If May May sounds like she might be the right match for you, or if you want to check out more of our wonderful pets for adoption, please visit ffpets.org to read all about our TN-based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit your application The adoption fee is $300 and transport is an additional $200 This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete. Story
Meet our local celebrity, Dora the Explorer! Dora is around 3 years old and she weighs around 58 lbs. Dora was spotted for over 1 year traveling a wide area and numerous concerned citizens became concerned that Dora had lost her way and her family. A group of volunteers made it their mission to rescue Dora. After being caught it was evident that at some point she had a family that loved her because she knew many commands and was proving to be a very intelligent girl. Dora is very playful. She bonds to her humans very quickly and would just love to be a couch potato when she is not out in the yard entertaining herself or having fun playing fetch. Her foster family has several older dogs and Dora seems fine with them, however, Dora would do great as well, as a single dog family because she loves her people! Any questions about her can be answered by her foster mom and we can put you in touch with her. Dora is ready to travel when the perfect home is found for her. Story
Meet Ford, a remarkable Bulldog whose presence is as powerful and steadfast as a mighty river. Just like the characteristics of his breed, Ford embodies kindness and courage, showcasing a unique blend of friendliness and dignity. Now you may not see it by looking into his gorgeous brown eyes, but Ford has suffered in his short life.... he came to the rescue from the streets with a HORRIFIC hernia on his back end, near his rectum. He required two surgeries to correct the hernia and allow him to have a normal life again. He came through with SHINING colors ;) With his well-muscled frame and low-slung stature, Ford is the epitome of a true bruiser, but it's his iconic "sourmug" face that represents his unwavering courage and tenacity. Despite his robust appearance, Ford is a docile and loyal companion, adapting seamlessly to any environment, be it the bustling city or the serene countryside. With Ford by your side, you'll experience the unwavering devotion and unmistakable presence of a Bulldog, a breed that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this incredible Bulldog into your life, as Ford's unique spirit will bring joy, love, and an unmistakable charm that only he can deliver. Some basic information about Ford; he is male, a Bulldog mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Ford is not great with other dogs (or cats or other critters) and would be best in a home with either only adults or older children and as a single dog. But his heart will fill your home with all the love you need!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Gayle, a 2-year-old female American Bulldog mix with a stunning apricot and white bicolor coat. Gayle is a high-energy pup who loves spending time with people. She's incredibly friendly and cuddly, always eager to share affection. While Gayle enjoys the company of people, she can be selective with other dogs and might need a patient and experienced owner who can help her navigate her interactions. She's a bit anxious and defensive around other dogs, but with slow exposure and gentle guidance, she has the potential to adjust and become more comfortable over time. We suggest a single dog home for Gayle. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a loving and energetic companion, Gayle could be the perfect addition to your family. With a little time and patience, she's sure to become a loyal and devoted friend. Come meet Gayle and see if you can be the one to provide her with a forever home filled with love and understanding. Story
It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! As a senior dog there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Being close to others helps remind me that I am here and my story is still being written with infinite possibilities. Perhaps you and I could write the next chapter together?
