Story
So I adopted Beans from her previous owner and she was great and didn’t have any problems but she is not very fond of new dogs and that owner said she would really leave other dogs alone if they were knew. However this has not been the case and she has nipped at other dogs if they get in her space. With that being said Beans is an excellent dog outside of this behavior, and really just wants to be petted and be the center of attention.

Story
Hi, I'm Violet! I'm a happy and very friendly little lady who hasn't met a stranger! I have very good manners, and love hanging out with the volunteers. The best part is that they take me for a swim too!! I know some commands, and am pretty low key because I just want to cuddle a bit and relax! I can't wait to have a new family to spend time with and be a prefect little couch potato (although I may snore a bit if I doze off :>!). When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story
CoCo is so sweet. She is about 6 years old. She enjoys spending time with you. She enjoys riding in the car and going for walks. She is playful and a great companion. CoCo was a stray that was found in our neighborhood about 5 years ago. My husband (who is in his 70s) and I (in my late 60s) were drawn to her immediately. We tried to find out where she came from but was unable to do so. Although, she has been with us for 5 years, my husband and I are getting older (with some "health issues" - mainly energy levels to keep up with her) and feel CoCo needs to be with a family that she can do fun things with her. She is a very loving dog and needs to feel a part of a family or an individual who will love her. She is very easy to love.

Story
Olive is the BEST dog. We rescued her from the shelter after my 13 ur pibble friend passed. She's sweet and stays right with you and wants to please. She's great with people of all ages, and good on a leash or in a fence. The problem? They told us she was good with dogs...but I think due to unknown past traumas She's very reactive and bad about resource guarding and unsafe with the small breed we already had. She MUST be an only dog. We put her through 3k training. She's fully vetted. Will interview thoroughly.
