Story
Meet Van Gogh! A playful gent from Mississippi. He’s a 5 years old Pitbull, and sadly he ended up with Big Bones when his owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving him without a home. He loves all people, and is great with kids, but he is a true Daddy's Boy! (His previous owner was a man). He’s neutered, kennel trained, and potty trained. He loves hanging out in the sun, playing with other dogs, and really appreciates a belly rub and a nice warm blanket to sleep with. Van Gogh is good in the house, and can be a great couch potato! He'd be great as an only dog with someone who will take him on the occasional romp at the dog park. He'd also be good in a home with other dogs with a proper introduction. Apply if you are interested in meeting your next hiking and Netflix buddy!! He is being fostered in Denver.

Story
Happy Go-Lucky and Care-Free!! Dreamer guessed to be a 1.5 yr old Pitbull, around 70 lbs. He is a hopeless optimist that's fun loving and bursting with energy. Although gentle and sweet as can be, his explosive energy can be overwhelming at first, but over time he settles in and there's no better play buddy. Dreamer needs an owner that is confident in themselves and patient with boundaries. His energy is not well suited for small children or the elderly, since he is very strong. He is great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate or at least someone that can help him burn some of his energy. Dreamer is good in a kennel, doesn't bark or dig. He does love to rip his stuffies up and chew on a good bone. Did I mention that his coat and coloring is to die for? This boy has vitiligo, which shouldn’t continue to spread as he ages but those sweet spots are here to stay! Dreaming of that good 'ole boy? Dreamer is that guy! He is waiting in Wellington.

Story
Shilo is guessed to be a 4 yr old Pitbull mix, around 64 lbs. She is a Tri-pod (missing her rear right leg), but you would never know it. She has no issues getting around and does very well with it. She is a very SWEET and happy girl and walks well on a leash. She LOVES children and plays well with them. She is a little selective at times when it comes to dog friends... she likes some, but not others. Her ideal home would have no other dogs or one submissive male dog. She loves being with her people and would be a great hiking buddy, or walking buddy. Shilo is housebroken with a dog door and knows “Sit” and “Down.” She’s also a pro at catching tossed treats and her favorite thing is belly rubs. She is a cuddler and loves to run and play as well! Come meet her and discover how truly special she is!

Story
"Ok y’all. We know the pitbull types can be harder to find adopters for due to the stereotypes. Black Dog Syndrome in the rescue world just makes that even harder for dogs like Haven, but this sweet, stunning girl deserves a forever family instead of being euthanized! Haven came into a high kill shelter in Houston after being found as a stray/dumped at a Chevron gas station. Her future was bleak. Luckily, she’s easy on the eyes and one of our pittie loving foster homes quickly stepped up for her. Haven is a healthy girl who is around 2 years old and about 55 pounds. She is adapting wonderfully to the routine of a foster home and is great with kids. She is food motivated, smart, attentive, and very eager to please. She walks well on a leash and has a mild-moderate energy level. Haven can be a bit picky/selective about her dog friends in play groups, does best with slow careful introductions, and seems to do better with male dogs. She would also be completely in love with the idea of being someone’s only dog/princess. Please give Haven a chance. She’s ready to snuggle you and be your best friend! Haven requires a feline free home." Haven is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/haven/.
