Dear Future Best Friend,I'm waiting impatiently for you to come and take me to our furever home.I'm an independent gal with lots of love to give. I can take care of myself, but I am fearful too and really like to know who I can count on to be there for me. Everyone I get attached to seems to vanish ...poof! And I am left with a broken heart. 💔This has happened 3 times. The last time I vowed never to love again. But I have so much love to give it just bounces right out of me when I see people. 💓I have to tell them right away I love them. Then, they just walk away. I want so much to have a family of my own. I love kids, I get excited and fearful to see dogs. I don't mind some cats in my space if they are cool cats. Old cats that just want to hang out are cool. If they run I will run with them. I lick some cats as I walk by them in the hallway. Kittens are fun to play with. I let them know I'm the boss. Oh yeah I like to be the boss, but my foster mom says SHE's the boss so I pretend to listen to her. I am a hottie... 55 pounds.And funny! Heavenly HeathCliFF is a real dream. Well....once he gets out of the kennel. He is not a fan of strangers staring at him in his kennel. But once he is by your side, it is smooth sailing. He has the most beautiful combination of brown colored Merle patterns and the most soulful eyes that reach right into your heart. He seems to have been a tie out dog based on his pattern of walking to the end of the leash and stopping. He has very polite leash manners and checks in often to give you a smile and sometimes a kiss. He came to us underweight and seems to have had rather irregular feeding sessions in his previous situation. He is conducting interviews for his furever family. Please stop by and meet him. Original Bio:Tinker Toy is one of our younger teenage residents. He is very loving. He came in severely under weight. He wants to stand up tall and stop you from your busy day. He desperately looks into your eyes and tells you he loves you and won't you please please stop what you are doing and hold him?He weighs 32 pounds and is working out every day to pack on the pounds. He really thinks some cheeseburgers would help. He is a delightful companion and has alot to tell you when you come to visit him. Updated Bio April 4, 2024Tinker has had quite the adventure since landing at HSWC as a very young and starved pup back in September (2023). Let me get you caught up on his travels. He was a resident during the fall and being young he was often in a crate. Then some nice folks from the Dog Company sprung him and he went to the training academy with them. He was very well liked there. Then he got an application for adoption but still had to wait a bit. Finally in a new home he has had some inconsistent training and got rather confused. He has found his way back to HSWC for his second tour. He is not happy about being back. Although he remembers how great the food and treats are. Unfortunately he has fallen back into guarding his food. He needs to be the only dog in his new home. He also needs to go to a home with experienced doggy parents who are willing to Keep up with consistent training with him to continue to teach him how to be his best self.
