Meet Lana! Lana came to us after her owners could no longer care for her so she is now searching for a new forever home! Lana is a pitbull terrier that is only about 1.5 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Lana is a sweet and very photogenic gal! Lana is housebroken and is good with kids. Lana would need a home without cats. Lana does do well with most other dogs. She can be selective with other female dogs but does do well with other male dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along! Lana is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & spayed! If you are interested in making Lana a part of your family please contact the shelter directly at 989-831-7302 to set up an appointment! *All adoptions are done by appointment only*

Story
We got her as a 3.5 weeks old puppy, she has always been high energy due to her breed. She is 7.5 years old. Having to rehome her as I have a baby on the way and with her anxiety and PTSD it would be best not to stress her out with a baby in the household. She is on medication for her anxiety and PTSD which helps A LOT. She still has episodes sometimes like anyone would but it's best to leave her alone and go into a separate room until she calms down, ignore her, don't reach for her. She is the absolute sweetest dog ever, loves to cuddle and play with her toys. She will even give you that dorky pitbull smile if you take her on a car ride. She's a big baby that deserves more than we can provide with a baby on the way which will provide more anxiety for her.

Story
Hi, everypawdy! My name is Grace. I'm a beautiful, loving soul who is looking for a family to call my own. I spent the majority of my early life in an animal testing laboratory-- did you know that dogs and cats are used for animal testing, too? Despite everything that I've been through, I'm a sweet and happy girl now that Beagle Freedom Project has rescued me. Walks, runs, and hikes are a few of my favorite hobbies. Attention and being pet are necessities as well, of course! A good cuddle at the end of a long day will fill me with joy. A good treat and some cuddles are enough to motivate to learn like a pro. I love being near my favorite humans, and playing with my favorite toys. If you want a reason to smile every single day, then I am the pup for your family. I prefer a home that has: A fenced yard, no other animals (I want all of your attention!), adults-only (or older children!), lots of love! My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. ABOUT BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT: Beagle Freedom Project is the world's leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research.
