Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Halo, and I’m as sweet as they come! If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate pup who just needs a little extra patience, I might be the perfect match for you. My favorite things are cuddles, quiet walks with my dog friends, and tasty treats—I’m very food motivated! I get along great with other dogs and even the cat in my foster home. Having a confident dog sibling would really help me feel more secure as I continue to build my confidence. I can be shy and anxious, especially with new people and busy environments, so a calm predictable home would be best for me.  I’m nervous around new people, especially men, and so I need some time and patience to warm up. But, once I do, I love to give cuddles and lots of kisses! I also get nervous around visitors, so I’ll need a quiet space to retreat to when new people come over. I’m crate trained and I do like to chew, especially on cords and shoes, so I should be crated when left alone! I have a playful side, too! I get the zoomies sometimes and love a good romp with my dog friends. Playing and stimulation is really important for me- otherwise I get bored and eat my foster mom’s shoes! I am still a puppy after all. I enjoy daily walks with my dog friends, but a quiet walking area is best for me so I don’t get overwhelmed. With time, love, and stability, I promise to be the most loyal companion and give you lots of love and kisses in return! If you’re looking for a sensitive, loving pup who just needs a little extra care, I’d love to meet you! Halo is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tobias Turnpike (aka Toby Toebeans) is as sweet as he's beefy. He's the perfect mix of cuddly, playful, and social. We believe he would make an excellent addition to any home that doesn't have a cat (since he has an intense allergy to them). True to his gentle nature, Toby lays down to get his nails trimmed, tolerates baths as long as treats are involved, and keeps his cool at the vet, even when he's being poked. While he's not a barker, he's still a great communicator. He will let you know when he needs to go potty or when he's hungry. He will grumble or come over to you and put his big paws on your lap and stare at you. When he's relaxed and enjoying snuggles, he grins, and if he wants more pets, he taps you with his paw. If you sit with Toby, he will sit beside you, rest his head on your chest, and snooze. Once he gets relaxed, he melts down to a puddle next to you. Tobias is a total cuddle bug. His favorite pastime is snuggling with his humans. We rate his cuddles A+!!  Check out this  video  of Tobias walking nicely on leash.     Tobias Turnpike is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Diem—a playful, happy-go-lucky puppy with a zest for life that’s as big as my heart. I may have wobbly back legs, but don’t let that fool you! My unique walk doesn’t slow me down one bit. I’m always on the move, living life with energy and joy. Toys are my absolute favorite—whether it’s squeaky ones, chew toys, or something to chase, I’m all in. And when playtime is over, you’ll find me snuggled up for a cozy nap. I’m a pro at bedtime, settling down quietly in my kennel so you can get a good night’s sleep. I’m also working on potty training and learning to pace myself at mealtime (I get so excited about food!). Diem’s journey is a little different from other pups. She was born with a congenital spinal deformity that makes her movements unique. While her back legs sometimes have a mind of their own, she’s a determined little explorer who gets around just fine. She will benefit from continued rehabilitation to build strength and mobility, and she’s already making great progress with weekly physical therapy, which will need to be continued after adoption to support her long-term health and mobility. Diem does have urinary and fecal incontinence, which might require lifelong diaper use. Despite this, she’s an incredibly loving companion who doesn’t let her condition hold her back. If you’re looking for a special pup with a huge personality, Diem could be the perfect match. She’ll fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and so much love. Are you ready to continue Diem’s journey and give her the care and love she deserves? Diem was a stray. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ollie! Ollie is a charming 3-year-old Pocket Pitty/Chocolate Lab mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Ollie adores attention—he loves being petted, kissed, and snuggled, and he’ll happily soak up all the affection you have to offer. Playful with both people and dogs, Ollie is easygoing and tolerant, even when it comes to having his feet handled. He has no resource guarding issues and enjoys treats, toys, and rawhides. His absolute favorite? Squeaky toys! Ollie never tires of creating his own squeaky symphony and takes great joy in tearing them apart—so supervised play is a must.  Here’s a video of Ollie playing and another video of Ollie playing.   Ollie is almost fully potty trained and will softly whine or bark to let you know when he needs to go outside. He sleeps quietly in his kennel at night but appreciates an early morning potty break. Smart and eager to learn, Ollie knows his name, responds to "kennel" and "sit," and is excited to pick up new tricks and commands. An active, adventurous boy, Ollie thrives in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can play and explore. He loves the outdoors, especially in the snow—tunneling through piles, bouncing around in pure joy, and digging for hidden treasures like sticks and balls. He plays well on his own or with his people but can be a bit rough with dogs who aren’t used to his enthusiastic style.  Because of his enthusiasm, he would do best without young kids or elderly adults. Ollie would do well as an only dog but would truly thrive with a canine buddy who matches his playful energy. He loves to climb into your lap despite his size, always eager to be as close as possible. While his excitement and strength can be a lot for older dogs or small pets, Ollie has a sweet, submissive side, especially when he doesn’t feel like going into his kennel. With his affectionate, loving nature and boundless happiness, Ollie is ready to find his forever family—one that will cherish his joyful spirit and give him all the love he deserves. Ollie is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nebula is a young dog with a mysterious past, but she’s ready to make a fresh start. She’s house-trained, enjoys car rides, and knows basic commands. Nebula is affectionate with adults and older children, and she loves both playtime and cuddles. Hello! My name is Cyrus. I am a handsome boy with a HUGE heart. My ideal home is a place where I am the only pet for a multitude of redone but primarily so I get all the affection. I am a dog that loves my humans, and loves to have a routine. Everyone is constantly telling me how smart I am. I love going for car rides, playing ball, and lounging having some snuggle time. I am an avid movie buff and love a nice night in watching Netflix with a cozy blanket. Cozy blankets are a must have. I can be the biggest love bug you will ever meet, so despite the fact I don't care for other animal companions I think I am a pretty good catch. Did I mention I am super handsome? Well, at least that's what all these people keep saying. I tend to agree. Now that I'm older I have that distinguished gentleman thing going for me. If you think you might be the one I have been waiting for, fill out an adoption application. You will not regret it! I promise to win you over in no time. Hi! My name is Beatrice. I am a tiny little character. I really really love when my humans are home with me as much as possible. Being alone is no fun. I get lonely. If you do leave me alone I need a strong crate that I can't break out of, but the rescue is happy to give my new home the one I use now. I have lots of energy and I love to go for walks and just enjoying the sunshine. I do well on a leash. I sometimes like to spend my afternoons catching some rays. The humans say I often look like I am contemplating life. I am really just dreaming of my new home. I get along with most dogs but I tend to play rough so it's really just best I be an only dog. Which reminds me, absolutely no cats either. I have an intense prey drive. Yea I know I have some issues, who doesn't? On the plus side I am actually really sweet. I love to just be with you and I will even give you kisses when you are sad. Story
Meet Ms. Nona! Pretty name for a pretty girl. Nona is crate trained, even if she decides to mildly protest going in. It's really only because she truly just wants to be with her people. Nona would make a great hiking or walking partner to burn off her energy. A fenced in yard is ideal for her. She would just love it! Nona loves to play outside and with toys... but plan on getting tough toys if you expect them to last long! She loves attention and snuggles, and to just be with her people. She makes a great Netflix marathon companion. Nona has mixed feelings about other animals and honestly needs to be the only pet. Since she hasn't been around children much, her fosters feel that she would be best with older considerate children. Overall, Nona loves and needs structure in her life. She needs a strong leader so she doesn't have to feel like the pressure is on her and she can sit back and relax. She is smart, inquisitive and enjoys learning. Overall, she is an amazing dog that is on the search for her right Fur-Ever Home... could that be you? Breakfast and dinner are my favorite times of the day and I will sit to wait for my food and then I'll make sure my bowl is clean for next time. Story
Hi! My name is Lola. I am a super sweet, and smart girl who loves to love. I am a happy pup who didn't have a great life before I got to rescue which ultimately could have been the end for me, but I had angels looking out for me and well, here I am. When I was impounded it was loud and so scary. I was so stressed and honestly terrified. So stressed I started to loose weight, and was not my best self. One day, a nice lady came and said she was there to rescue me. I was unsure at first but she started giving me treats and when we went outside, I realized not only was she super nice, but she was getting me out of there. Even out of the shelter I continued to rapidly loose weight even though my foster dad was happy to feed me as much as I wanted. We went to the doctor and I heard them say I have EPI. I am not really sure all the technical stuff but basically I got so stressed in the shelter I likely developed this condition and I have to take meds and supplements for it. The stuff I have to take is not a big deal for me at all. In fact, I am very used to it, but anyone wanting to adopt me should know about it. I know not everyone is willing to adopt a dog that has stuff like me, but it's not my fault and I just know that after all I have been through there is someone special out there that is just waiting to love me. *FEHR does recommend any potential adopter have a discussion with their veterinarian about EPI prior to adoption so that you can be well informed on the condition from a professional* Estimated Birthday: 6/8/2022 Breed: Pit Bull Mix Weight: 47lbs Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: unknown Good with Kids: Older kids preferred due to energy level Adoption Fee: $150 Apply to adopt online- https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEHR/Dog Sponsor me- PayPal.me/fureverhomerescue **Breed not guaranteed**

Hi! My name is Petunia. I've been with Fur-Ever Home Rescue since I was a young lady. You see, I like to protect the things that I find interesting so I have to be very managed. I'm a super sweetheart, but it's best for me to live at the sanctuary. I have my own dog cabin with my very own porch and fenced in yard. I also get to watch my favorite TV shows, and we have awesome grounds for nice long walks on a beautiful day. That doesn't mean my care doesn't come at a cost. Rescue is my family, but they could use some help with taking care of me so if you have it in your heart to sponsor me, I would really be grateful. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Clove – The Sweet, Sassy Bulldog! Clove is a bulldog with a personality as charming as her name! This affectionate girl is a fun mix of sweet and sassy, guaranteed to make you smile every day. She adores snuggling, playing fetch, and tug-of-war with squeaky toys – and yes, she thinks she’s a lapdog! What Clove Brings to the Table: Commands Superstar: She knows sit, lay down, down, stay (still a work in progress), kennel up, and come (when she feels like it – what a diva!). Treat Champion: She takes treats gently and loves all the praise that comes with it. Loves to Play: Whether it’s a game of tug or chasing after a toy, she’s all in! Clove’s Fun Quirks and Progress: Not a Fan of the Cold: She enjoys the great outdoors but would prefer a warm snuggle on chilly days. Loves to howl along with sirens on TV and is a fan of Nicki Minaj. House-Trained in Progress: She’s almost there and catching on fast with only a couple of accidents. Crate-Trained: Clove adjusts well to her crate with just a little initial whining (background music seems to help her relax). Still Polishing Skills: She’s working on leash manners (pulls when she’s excited), jumping up, and severe stranger danger around men and some dogs. She needs ongoing socialization and training to help her shine even brighter and very slow intros when placed in situations around men or dogs.   Medication:  Clove is on anti-anxiety meds to assist with her wariness around new or strange things. Click here , here , here , here and here to take a peek into Clove’s sweet personality. Her Ideal Family: Clove would thrive with a single woman who’s looking for a loving and loyal companion. Her best match will have no young children or other pets, though she might warm up to dog siblings with time and proper introductions. She’s curious about cats but doesn’t always know her own strength, so feline friends might need supervision. With patience, love, and continued training, Clove will become the most amazing partner in crime you could ask for. She warms up quickly to people she trusts and loves to know what her humans are up to. Once she’s by your side, she’s all in! Are you ready to make Clove a part of your life? This sweet, stubborn bulldog is sure to steal your heart!  Clove is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Crash—nice to meet you! I’m a tall, handsome, and docile guy with a big heart… and a big head to match! I love going for long walks, taking my time to enjoy the scenery, and I’m great on a leash. I’m friendly with all humans, including kiddos—can you believe I even know my size?   I’ve met a kitty before, in my foster home, and we didn’t get along very well.  If this relationship changes, I’ll be sure to update you.  I just keep busy following my foster kids around, making sure they’re getting plenty of kisses! I’d do best in a home without shared walls and without other dogs—I prefer being the only one claiming the best seat on the couch. Speaking of couches… do you have one? Because I’m looking for the perfect one to Crash on! Crash is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
