You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Emmy has been with us since November and has gained so much confidence. Emmy LOVES to play with squeaky toys and has learned that it is okay to go up and down stairs. Emmy loves to go on walks and she also loves to snuggle on the couch and take naps. She is an amazing loving dog. If you ask her for a kiss she will give you one. She can be a very goofy girl at times. Sometimes she puts her toys in her food bowl and then she can’t decide if she should eat or play! This girl deserves a great home with lots of love. She is an absolute dream and would make a great addition to any family! Click here to see a video of Emmy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ms. Stella, the prettiest girl you'll ever see! Stella can be a little shy at first, but she quickly warms up with a few treats and will soon become your best friend. She's currently in a foster home with three other dogs and gets along great with them. We think she'd love to have a furry friend to play with, but it's not a requirement—having another dog just helps her feel more comfortable. Stella is both crate and potty trained. She knows when it's mealtime and will run to her crate and wait patiently. She also enjoys car rides and is happy to relax while you drive. Stella loves movie time, as it's the perfect opportunity to get some pets and cuddles. She’s still learning not to jump up, but she’s gentle about it. Stella would do best in a home without small children, as she can be a bit skittish. While she enjoys having a fenced-in yard, it’s not a necessity. If you're looking for the sweetest girl to join your family, please submit an application to meet Stella. She's ready to find her forever home!     Stella is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Percy is an affectionate pup who was rescued with a broken leg. After undergoing surgery and having a plate placed to stabilize his leg, he’s on a strict exercise regimen to ensure a full recovery and a life without limitations.   Despite his pain, Percy remains incredibly sweet and loves being around people. Click here to see video for proof of this happy guy! Percy has this cute way of looking at you for approval and loves neck and ear scratches while cuddling on the couch. He’s quiet in his kennel and keeps it tidy. Although he's working on potty training, being a young puppy means he still needs his new family to monitor him closely for cues, as he hasn't yet learned to signal his needs.   Percy adores toys, chewing on bones and is learning how to share. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, he’s a delightful companion on the path to recovery.   Percy is from a local impound. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Wigglesworth here. I am a happy go lucky puppy who is always up for an adventure. I am still learning the ways of the world. I love other dogs and can be quite demanding when I want to play. I walk ok on leash, until I decide I want to lay down. My foster mom says it is good I am little, because she can carry me home. I know how to sit, and will sit to ask for treats. I love all people. As I am still a teething puppy, I need reminders to not be a shark. Shoelaces are my favorite. As soon as I am picked up I relax and snuggle. I am great in my crate and I do not make a peep. I will willingly go in, especially when I am given a peanut butter kong or bone. I am great in the car and just lay down and relax.  Wigglesworth is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Hello! My name is Cyrus. I am a handsome boy with a HUGE heart. My ideal home is a place where I am the only pet for a multitude of redone but primarily so I get all the affection. I am a dog that loves my humans, and loves to have a routine. Everyone is constantly telling me how smart I am. I love going for car rides, playing ball, and lounging having some snuggle time. I am an avid movie buff and love a nice night in watching Netflix with a cozy blanket. Cozy blankets are a must have. I can be the biggest love bug you will ever meet, so despite the fact I don't care for other animal companions I think I am a pretty good catch. Did I mention I am super handsome? Well, at least that's what all these people keep saying. I tend to agree. Now that I'm older I have that distinguished gentleman thing going for me. If you think you might be the one I have been waiting for, fill out an adoption application. You will not regret it! I promise to win you over in no time. Hi! My name is Beatrice. I am a tiny little character. I really really love when my humans are home with me as much as possible. Being alone is no fun. I get lonely. If you do leave me alone I need a strong crate that I can't break out of, but the rescue is happy to give my new home the one I use now. I have lots of energy and I love to go for walks and just enjoying the sunshine. I do well on a leash. I sometimes like to spend my afternoons catching some rays. The humans say I often look like I am contemplating life. I am really just dreaming of my new home. I get along with most dogs but I tend to play rough so it's really just best I be an only dog. Which reminds me, absolutely no cats either. I have an intense prey drive. Yea I know I have some issues, who doesn't? On the plus side I am actually really sweet. I love to just be with you and I will even give you kisses when you are sad. Hi! My name is Punkin. I am a super sweet girl once I get to know you. I love giving kisses, watching movies together, and getting yummy treats. The ideal home for me is somewhere I can be an only pet. I don't really like other animals at all. I also like to eat things I am not supposed to like dog toys so a house without kiddos that have stuff for me to chew up is best even though I love kids it's to risky for my health. I currently live a sanctuary but if the ideal home came along that would be amazing! Story
Meet Ms. Nona! Pretty name for a pretty girl. Nona is crate trained, even if she decides to mildly protest going in. It's really only because she truly just wants to be with her people. Nona would make a great hiking or walking partner to burn off her energy. A fenced in yard is ideal for her. She would just love it! Nona loves to play outside and with toys... but plan on getting tough toys if you expect them to last long! She loves attention and snuggles, and to just be with her people. She makes a great Netflix marathon companion. Nona has mixed feelings about other animals and honestly needs to be the only pet. Since she hasn't been around children much, her fosters feel that she would be best with older considerate children. Overall, Nona loves and needs structure in her life. She needs a strong leader so she doesn't have to feel like the pressure is on her and she can sit back and relax. She is smart, inquisitive and enjoys learning. Overall, she is an amazing dog that is on the search for her right Fur-Ever Home... could that be you? Story
Well hello there! I'm Beefcake, my friends calls me Beefy! I'm a hunky boy who really would has to be an only pet. I'm a shorty, just 52 pounds of adorable! I am a good boy and a quick learner. I thrive with a strong leader who makes me mind my new manners I have learned. I have come a long way in rescue and I am excited to start my new life and show you how awesome I am! I really love to have my humans around. When people are gone for really long work days it makes me sad, but I do love Dog TV to keep me entertained. My favorite thing to do is snuggle up with my humans, the closer, the better! Looking for a movie watching buddy? That's me! Breakfast and dinner are my favorite times of the day and I will sit to wait for my food and then I'll make sure my bowl is clean for next time. I've been known to eat my toys so my humans watch me while I enjoy them. I'm a big boy with lots of love to give and I'm hopeful I can find my fur-ever soon! *My adoption does come with a training package to set me up for success so my adopters have to be committed to learning how to work with me as a team* https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEHR/Dog Adoption Fee $250 Help sponsor my vet care- PayPal.me/fureverhomerescue

Story
Hi! My name is Lola. I am a super sweet, and smart girl who loves to love. I am a happy pup who didn't have a great life before I got to rescue which ultimately could have been the end for me, but I had angels looking out for me and well, here I am. When I was impounded it was loud and so scary. I was so stressed and honestly terrified. So stressed I started to loose weight, and was not my best self. One day, a nice lady came and said she was there to rescue me. I was unsure at first but she started giving me treats and when we went outside, I realized not only was she super nice, but she was getting me out of there. Even out of the shelter I continued to rapidly loose weight even though my foster dad was happy to feed me as much as I wanted. We went to the doctor and I heard them say I have EPI. I am not really sure all the technical stuff but basically I got so stressed in the shelter I likely developed this condition and I have to take meds and supplements for it. The stuff I have to take is not a big deal for me at all. In fact, I am very used to it, but anyone wanting to adopt me should know about it. I know not everyone is willing to adopt a dog that has stuff like me, but it's not my fault and I just know that after all I have been through there is someone special out there that is just waiting to love me. *FEHR does recommend any potential adopter have a discussion with their veterinarian about EPI prior to adoption so that you can be well informed on the condition from a professional* Estimated Birthday: 6/8/2022 Breed: Pit Bull Mix Weight: 47lbs Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: unknown Good with Kids: Older kids preferred due to energy level Adoption Fee: $150 Apply to adopt online- https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEHR/Dog Sponsor me- PayPal.me/fureverhomerescue

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Holand is the sweetest pup, found wandering alone before being taken in by a kind rescuer in Houston. He loves being by people as much as possible and napping on soft beds and couches is his favorite. He does well in a home with other dogs, though he doesn’t necessarily seek out their companionship. He does have a prey drive and would do best in a home without cats.  Holand is crate trained, but would much rather be left out snoozing on a bed or couch. He is a gentle giant, very calm and good with children. Holand is typically quiet, but does bark when initially kenneled. Due to this, he would do best in a home without shared walls. He is completely potty trained and has had no accidents with his foster. He does love to drink water and needs some bathroom breaks after drinking a lot. He enjoys carrying around soft stuffed toys in his mouth and chewing on bones. Holand just loves people the most and even has a cute little hop when he sees his favorites! This mellow guy doesn’t have separation anxiety, but would thrive in a home with people who are home more often than not. Holand just wants his own people to love him and a comfy spot to snooze in. He would be the perfect calm companion! Holand is from Texas.  One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you.   Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. I have done well with a wide variety of canine friends and can play a great game of chase and wrestle. I am also content to just coexist. I kennel nicely, but also do well in a room by myself.
