THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Tank is not in one of our foster homes, we are assisting his owner with placement. The information below is from his owners. Once we receive your application we will put you touch with his family.
“This is Tank, a pitbull mix (possibly mixed with bull terrier due to his longer nose and almond shaped eyes). I rescued him about 4.5 years ago from a bad living situation in a family home. I believe he was also in a shelter prior to that. He is approximately 8.5 to 9 years old. He does not get along with dogs so a home with no other canines will be necessary.
He is the sweetest angel and a perfect family dog. He is very gentle and loving with children of all ages. He knows all his tricks and commands, like sit, lay, stay, heel, back up, get down, go to your bed, jump, etc. He does pull on the leash outside with everyone but me. He is strong and pulls as soon as he gets outside to possibly spot another dog.
He loves to cuddle, sleep in bed with you, go for walks, run around in the yard, and play fetch at home (he is too distracted outside to play with a ball but he does love it). He currently eats The Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food and I mix him mostly homecooked meals into it for a little flavor.
It breaks my heart to let him go but my husband has developed a severe dog hair allergy and is suffering a lot at home. This is why we need to find him a home as soon as possible. When it comes to other pets, he was introduced to guinea pigs and a small parrot and did really well with them. I have no idea how he would do in a house with a cat.
