Story
This is Brandy. She's a 3 year old medium size pit mix. She's extremely affectionate with people, especially women. She doesn't do well around cats and smaller animals and would be best suited in a home where she is the only dog and there are no small children. She is excellent on the leash, loves car rides and belly rubs and is high energy. ~~ Adoption donation $ 200. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Visit www.ruffloverescue.com/adoption to make this pup a member of your familyNovember 5, 2024, 5:56 pm

Story
i obtained the dog from a local shelter. i was told he was a stray. He is for the most part house trained/crate trained. he's really sweet and loves to cuddle and loves head scratches. I am moving and found out my new landlord will not accept Pitbulls. He deserves to go to a home with love and possibly a fenced in backyard.

Story
Meet Clara Bell, a 3-year-old sweetheart who weighs 52 lbs and is ready to bring joy to a loving home! Clara Bell is an absolute angel and is such a joy to be around. She hops into the car like a champ, though sometimes it takes a little longer to coax her in, possibly due to a little anxiety. Once in the car, she rides well, even if she prefers to be up front, where she calmly rests her head on the center console and relaxes. Clara Bell thinks she’s a lap dog! She loves being close to her people and will happily curl up beside you or even try to climb into your lap for cuddles. She is a true lover of people and thrives on affection, always eager to shower you with kisses. Most of her day is spent happily receiving pets and giving out love in return. She’s a gentle and sweet girl who just wants to be close to her family. She knows "sit," though she may only respond when she feels like it. Clara Bell is still learning some basic commands but is eager to please when she’s in the mood! While she does sometimes pull and bark at other dogs walking by, she is otherwise good on the leash and stays right beside you. She enjoys occasional sniffing, but she’s generally well-behaved during walks. When it comes to food and toys, Clara Bell isn’t particularly motivated by treats or toys—she’d much rather receive some loving attention. She isn’t too interested in the treats offered, showing that her preference is simply being adored and pampered. Clara Bell is a calm and affectionate dog who makes an amazing companion for someone who loves cuddles and giving attention. She is a true gem, and if you’re looking for a loving and sweet dog, Clara Bell could be the perfect fit for your family! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Story
Meet Dobby, the house elf of your dreams—except, instead of magic, he’s got a tail that wags in excitement and a heart full of love! Dobby is house and crate trained, so there’s no need to worry about any “mischief” in the house. He’s well-behaved in public, although he might occasionally bark to say “hello” to those who crosses his path—he just can’t help himself, he’s so friendly! When it comes to walks, Dobby’s a “wand-erful” leash walker in the neighborhood, but when out and about, he might pull in excitement—he just has a bit of a “spell” of adventure! He’s also a master at fetch and LOVES toys—especially tough chew toys that’ll stand up to his magical chewing powers. After a walk, he’ll either be snuggled up on his dog bed or curled next to you, relaxing like the “elf” of the house he is. Dobby is also an excellent car rider—he’s calm and ready for any adventure, as long as he’s with you. He’s done well with children, but due to his excitement, he may jump up in joy—so older children who can handle his enthusiasm would be ideal! When Dobby first arrived, he had alopecia (no magic here for instant fur growth), but he’s slowly regrowing it—just in time for sweater weather, which he LOVES to wear. In warmer months, he’ll need some pet-safe sunscreen to keep him protected as he enjoys the sunshine. Treat-motivated and eager to please, Dobby is a loyal companion who’s ready to share his love with his new family. If you’re looking for a truly “charmed” dog who’s got the perfect balance of play and relaxation, Dobby’s ready to join your household and make it magical! Dobby has had very positive experiences with other dogs. He does sometimes bark to try to get their attention, so he'd do best with a canine pal who can tolerate this at times. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. We also think Dobby could potentially learn to live with cats. To meet Dobby, text his foster mom Anne at (336) 451-4159 to make an appointment!
