Story
Meet Isabella or Izzie, a quirky little  36 pound bundle of joy. Izzie was found wandering around alone, she was emaciated and very weak. Dixie Girl and her incredible foster mom were able to step in and save her life. Izzie does well with children and other dogs, but prefers to stay close to her foster. 🎈 She is crate trained , but will require a heavy duty crate to keep her safe. She prefers to sleep in a cozy dog bed or snuggle with her foster. She is progressing with house training as long as she is kept on a schedule. Izzie is crazy about balls and will run after and retrieve them when outside. 🎾Otherwise, she prefers to be an inside house dog. She would thrive in a home where the human(s) are home most of the time! If sweet Izzie sounds like the perfect match for you , please submit an adoption application. She can't wait to meet her new family. 🎉

Story
Sophie! She looks super serious, but she's loaded with personality.Meet Sophie, the fluffiest sweet and sour patch kid you’ll ever meet! Once a stray on the streets of Memphis, she was saved just in time, and boy, is she making up for lost time with her charm.House AND crate trained (though she's more of a “free-range” kinda gal). No mischief while her foster works, as long as you keep your shoes out of reach – flip flops = chew toys in Sophie’s world. The warning: Hide. Your. Footwear. You’ve been warned.Personality:Cuddle bug one moment, playful tornado the next.LOVES to wrestle with her foster siblings but is learning when to hit the brakes.Adventures:Car rides? Yes, please!Walks? Heck yeah! (She’s a bit of a puller at first but settles down like a pro.)Dog daycare? Party time! Her dream home:Sophie’s got energy to spare and would love an active family and a four-legged sibling to wrestle and zoom around with. She’s all about the action-packed life – are you up for the fun?Ready to meet Sophie? Submit an application now! Story
In late November, nine adorable puppies, approximately five weeks old, were rescued from Memphis's cold, scary streets alongside their beautiful black-and-white pittie mom. Now safe, warm, and thriving in a loving foster home, they’re soaking up all the love, care, and snuggles they can get. These pups are growing up surrounded by other dogs, curious kitties, and lots of human affection, making them well-socialized and ready to become cherished members of their future families. While their dad(s) are a mystery, their personalities are already shining bright! We hope to bring these sweet babies to New England by the end of December, just in time to find them foster and forever homes. If you want to add a playful, cuddly, and loving companion to your family, one of these pups could be your perfect match!Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedAge: 6 weeks as of 12/7Weight: Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained: Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently: Memphis but they will arrive to New England prior to adoption.Puppy Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England. Story
Bootsie was found as a stray puppy and she had a terrible case of Demodectic mange. The woman who found her brought her to us as she couldn't keep her. We started her on her healing journey and now her coat is beautiful and shiny! We were a little stumped as to her breed mix. We could tell she had Pit Bull but those ears! We knew there had to be something else. We had a couple of DNA tests donated to the rescue so we decided to use one on her. Turns out she is American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull and German Shepherd, hence the ears! She is loving and faithful like the Pit and smart as a whip like the Shepherd! She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained and house broken to our doggie door. She's still a puppy at about 9 months young. She absolutely loves little children so a family with kids would be ideal for her. Wouldn't you just love to call this girl your own! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $500
