Story
Meet Dearest Cletus, our sweet and lovable deaf boy who is eagerly looking for his forever home. Cletus came to us from the local shelter, where he was abandoned alongside his companion. Despite his rough start, Cletus has a heart full of love and joy to share.Cletus is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small. He would thrive in a home with another dog to lead him and play with, but he could also do well as the sole canine companion. His gentle nature ensures he is not food aggressive towards people or other dogs, and he remains calm even when hands are near his face during mealtime. He’s kennel trained and enjoys the comfort of his kennel for sleeping without any fuss. While house training is still in progress, he’s making strides and is eager to learn. Being a puppy, Cletus is curious and needs guidance to differentiate between appropriate doggie toys and household items, so he will benefit from consistent training and structure to help him learn proper manners. When it’s time to go outside, Cletus eagerly waits by the door for his slip lead, ready for his next adventure. He rides well in the car and has a temperament that suggests he would love to play with kids, even though he hasn’t been around them much. He shows no signs of separation anxiety and has had a calm encounter with a cat, showing no aggression.Cletus needs a gentle and patient household that is willing and able to invest in signal training and embrace him as a beloved family member. With the right family, Cletus will blossom into the loyal and loving companion he’s meant to be.
