This is Ruby! She was found on the streets of Memphis and a couple days later she had 15 puppies in our rescue. She took great care of her puppies and they are all adopted now. Ruby is a gentle soul. She looks at you with eyes that show appreciation for her life. Her tail is always slowly wagging and she has a happy bark that bounces her whole body. Ruby loves hugs and pets from her humans. She is very sweet and calm most times - but does like to chew on bones and has energy to do short zoomies in the yard. She loves to go for slow walks especially if she gets to sniff along the way. It is entertaining to watch her look for bugs in the grass. She is always jumping back in surprise at any movement. She will throw herself down on the grass and rub her back conv e nien tly exposing her belly for a rub . Ruby likes to be hosed down when it is hot out. Ruby is very smart and is responsive to commands and training. Ruby currently spends her days in an outdoor run and her nights in her crate inside. She is housed next to another female dog who she gets along great with. She likes other dogs but doesn't put up with any silly play. He immediately contacted us because Stone had numerous scabs, open wounds, hair loss and scars all over his head, legs and body. Both of his front legs were swollen. His tail and one of his legs had been broken. He was in horrible condition! We got him to the vet as soon as possible and discovered one of his front legs was possibly fractured recently. He was also loaded with parasites. Due to the location and shape of some of his scars, our vet told us he was probably a "bait dog", meaning dog fighters used him as bait to train the fighting dogs. Despite his condition and his past, Stone is so sweet to everyone!! Our staff and volunteers have been giving him so much love and attention, and he is definitely enjoying his new life. He loves to go on walks and get out some of his energy. Stone is very dog selective, so it would be best for him to be the only dog in the home. She found a family to foster me, but they let me run buck wild around the house and I even learned to leap on top of the table. We received a call from the local sheriff’s dispatch seeking our assistance in rescuing an abandoned Pitbull in rural Tennessee, and that's how we found Izzy. Despite his rough past and neglect, Izzy's gentle demeanor shines through. We've taken Izzy under our wing, with plans to provide him the care he deserves. He's been neutered, vaccinated, received flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. He's good on the leash but pulls a bit, and he's a decent traveler in the car. He is crate trained. Izzy is sweet and good-natured, good with kids, dogs, and small dogs, but not at all fond of cats. He's very needy but understandable. Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. This boy was dumped off at an auction place by his owners. Apparently their new landlord wouldn’t let him stay and that was their solution. He waited for them but was caught by a volunteer's house and brought in. He is a sweet, sweet boy who was definitely cared for. We’re positive he is housetrained and does well on a leash. He does well around other dogs his size, have not put him with smaller dogs. We aren’t sure about cats but know he can learn those manners. He loves to be around people, does well with kids and would love to go on any adventure with his new family. He would do best in a yard to get some energy out but it doesn't have to be too big…. just something he can walk around in but extra walks or dog park would do best for him. He is just a big lover who was let down by one family and is hoping for a second chance with a new one. Hank is being fostered in TN at this time but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Story

Vince, his mother Virginia and his two siblings, Victor, and Vanilla are in a shelter that is overfull and will need to make space shortly. ALL OF THEM ARE ON THE URGENT LIST! The poor momma was a stray that no one would help. She finally wandered up to an empty house to have her babies and thankfully someone called trying to find help for her. Vince is the leader of his pack. He is wide open in the play yard, and he loves a tennis ball. He will not jump on you for attention, but he makes his wishes clear by wiggling his butt all around you and gazing up with puppy eyes until you notice him. Vince seems good with kids and other dogs but just make sure you introduce them properly as he thinks he should be in charge! He is super sweet and playful and very smart. He is coming along well with leash walking and potty training and relishes love, and attention. Vince is currently in TN but the transport to your area is included in your fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
