Story
We adopted Leia about 3 months ago. We were told she is an American bulldog mix. She was an outside dog. She was malnourished and not cared for. Since her arrival. She is the most loveable girl ever. Loves her belly rubs. Will cuddle and sleep with you. Loves attention. Great with kids. Loves walks. Would love to keep her. But she does not get along with other animals. Your home must not have another pet. Before adoption we require information about your home and background. We will not let her go to a home that is not fit for her. There is a $0 adoption fee. We will provide her leash and collars upon adoption. We just want her to have a loveable and happy home. Again no other pets can be in your home.

Story
Vinnie is a 4 year old pit bull terrior who I got from my cousin as a puppy. Due to college I must rehome him. He is a great dog. I am looking for adopters who are active people that like to be outside because that works best for Vinnie. Vinnie loves to go for walks and runs, that being said he needs exercise. He cannot be couped up in a house is whole life without proper exercise. That is a huge worry of mine in this rehoming process. He is afraid of other dogs but not aggressive. He is fine with cats, kids, and new people. He loves people! He does this one flaw....he likes to chew blankets, so keeping them out of his reach is best and keeping chewing bones at his disposal is a must.

Story
Hi there, my name is Slim Jim. Or sometimes it's Bubba. Or Bubby. Or Slimbo. Or Rambo. I have a lot of names. My foster family says I have a big heart, big smarts, and big farts!  I have a big heart because I love lots of stuff, like making new human friends and CAR RIDES. Seriously I have no sense of stranger danger and will try to jump in anyone's car for a ride. I love a good chew treat and cheeseburgers. I love my blankie and sleeping all snuggled up in my crate, so will you please tuck me in every night? I love snuggles and giving kisses, but maybe bigger kids would be best for me because I REALLY get into the snuggles and don't want to accidentally knock a tiny human down. I do NOT love the cold or rainy weather, but I love dressing up in my sweaters and jackets to stay warm! I love butt scratches, tummy rubs, all kinds of adventures, and learning new things.    Speaking of learning new things, I have big smarts in this big noggin of mine! I pick up on new tricks super fast and already know how to sit, lay down, shake, wait, back (to sit in the back seat of the car), cross (the street), and turn left (I'm working on 'right'). I am great at food puzzles, and especially love my snuffle mat. I am crate trained and super polite on my leash when we're out for walks. I even know how to use agility equipment and am learning how to use a doggy treadmill. My recent record is 13 MPH!   My big farts are not so bad if I use a puzzle feeder, because then I don't eat so fast. It's this stubby, snorty nose of mine, I can't help but take in extra air.   There are a few things I don't love, mostly kitties (I want to eat them) and other dogs (they scare me). I take a cheap, daily anxiety medication (cost is under $10/mo) which helps me be more comfortable and my foster family has done a TON of training with me. They are sponsoring a private training session for whoever adopts me, to set me up for success in my new home!    Also, because I have such big smarts I take some things as a personal challenge. Crates and fences, for example. I think they are puzzles to be solved! I need a beefier crate than most dogs and a solid plan to keep me in the yard if I'm off-leash, because if that fence isn't solid like Mount Everest I am outtie! But I don't chew on or damage things in the house, don't worry about that.    I've been waiting for a home of my very own for far too long! So if you're looking for a Very Good Boy who you can have a lot of fun with, please reach out and ask for me, Slim Jim aka Bubba aka Bubby aka Slimbo aka Rambo.         Approximate DOB: 2021 Foster Home Location: Madison    If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful dogs, you can apply on our website: https://forms.gle/MGakwmFh92UiK9iM6     Please allow several days for us to process your application. Story
Abracadabra Hocus Pocus ala peanut butter sandwiches! My name is Houdini and everything about me is magical! I am an adult American bully mix weighing about 44 lbs, though I could stand to gain just a couple more. Then you will need to always monitor my weight because my legs are a big wonky and deformed and I won’t do well carrying any extra. I will also be prone to arthritis as I get older, so that will be something to consider. I am a sweet little boy who is neutered, up to date on my shots, and loves EVERYONE I meet. My foster mom says older kids would be best for me because my licker never stops, and I can get a bit excited with new people and sometimes jump on them and forget my manners. I am crate trained, housebroken, dog friendly, and extremely agile considering my low rider stance. I have no issues doing a full flight of stairs or even flying into the back seat of an SUV. My foster mom is always impressed by my agility. That said, I really can't do long walks because of my front feet and the way they drag when I walk. Too much and I will wear my toenails down too far and bleed. So, an awesome stroller would be ideal for me if you want to take me places where a lot of walking is involved. I really LOVE toys and stuffies and my dream is to have a home with a hundred billion stuffies I can carry around and play with all day. I am also a pretty good listener and very smart. I just know that I am going to make a family happy, and they will adore me and always get a few chuckles from all my funny noises and my silly antics. Just one last thing though.. I do have some stinky farts! If you can live with that, then I am your man. Just PICK ME! Houdini! 5 years old (estimated) Neutered male 42 lbs. Affectionate and friendly Has done well with other dogs and children No known experience with cats House trained I'm a super sweet boy who absolutely adores everyone! I greet each new friend with a big smile and a happily wagging tail. I have a blast playing with toys and splashing around in the pool. I’m a clever, treat-motivated pup who already knows "sit" and is potty trained, and I’m eager to learn even more tricks! My affectionate nature means I love to shower you with kisses and cuddles. If you’re looking for a friendly, loving, and playful companion, I’m your guy! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.August 17, 2024, 6:19 pm
