I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION, ONCE APPROVED, GIVE US A CALL AND WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET ME! Born: 3/30/2017 Adoption Donation: $50 Pineapple can be a great companion as long as you respect his boundaries. Pineapple enjoys sharing your bed and playing with strings and laser pointers. He finds watching birds and squirrels entertaining. You'll be pleased to know that Pineapple is diligent about using the litter box and only scratches designated scratchers, not your furniture. All in all, he's a low-maintenance cat. All cats are microchippped, neutered, current on all vaccines, and FeLV/FIV tested at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. The shelter is currently open by appointment only with an approved application. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet August, the most distinguished gentleman in town! At 14 years young, this dashing senior kitty is ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving forever home. With his sleek black coat and wise, soulful eyes, he’s the definition of feline sophistication. August may be a little shy at first, but give him time, and you'll see his affectionate side shine. He absolutely loves being brushed and scratched, and once he trusts you, he’ll reward you with sweet companionship. He has a special fondness for quiet moments and gentle affection, making him the perfect cozy-night-in companion. Due to cataracts, August’s world is a little blurry, but that doesn’t stop him from exploring when he feels safe! He may need a little extra patience as he learns his way around, but he’s got a curious heart and a brave spirit. He enjoys a predictable routine, a peaceful environment, and the company of kind humans (bonus points if you love late-night chats—he’s a bit of a nighttime philosopher!). August is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel secure and loved. If you’re ready to open your heart to this charming senior, he’ll repay you with endless gratitude, quiet companionship, and the best bedtime stories (in meow form, of course!). Are you the special someone who can give August the loving retirement he deserves? Meet this handsome gentleman and let him steal your heart! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
Akhtoot is a gentle, shy girl with a heart of gold. Though she may take a little time to warm up, once she feels safe, she’ll show you her sweet side. Akhtoot is a bit nervous in new environments, but with patience and a calm, understanding home, she’ll blossom into a loving companion. She enjoys quiet moments and will appreciate a peaceful environment where she can relax and feel secure. Akhtoot may not be the most outgoing at first, but once she trusts you, you’ll be rewarded with quiet cuddles and gentle purring. This sweet girl is looking for a family who understands her need for patience and a slow introduction. She’ll do best in a calm home, ideally with an adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to adjust at her own pace. If you’re ready to offer Akhtoot a safe, loving space to come out of her shell, she’s waiting for you! Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lulu is a 5-year-old tabby with a heart full of potential, though she may take a little time to show it. This sweet girl is a bit nervous and shy at first, but with patience and love, she'll gradually come out of her shell and show her true, affectionate side. Lulu enjoys quiet spaces where she can feel safe, and with a little gentle encouragement, she’ll start to trust you more every day. She may prefer a calm, low-stress environment and would do best in a home where she can take her time adjusting. Once she feels comfortable, Lulu enjoys curling up in cozy spots and watching the world go by. She’s not a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, so a peaceful, patient family would be the perfect match for her. Lulu is fully litter trained, spayed, and up-to-date on all her shots. She might need some extra time to settle in, but if you’re looking for a loving companion who will bond with you in her own time, Lulu could be the perfect fit for you! Could you be the patient, understanding person she’s been waiting for? Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon!
