Story
I`m in a FOSTER HOME! If you want to meet me, email my foster parent at jerrykepes@gmail.com to set up a time.Recently the caring folks at HRA notified us that Ramona needed a foster home. She exhibited shelter stress and discomfort; Ramona had been surrendered by a long-time owner and was in a state of shock. As cat fosters, we prepared for a challenging transition for her and assumed that she might retreat under a couch for some days. That is not what happened.Stepping out of the carryall, she darted under a bed, but quickly emerged and sauntered around the room, perhaps soothed by our daughters` voices. Within minutes she seemed at home; within several hours, Ramona was upstairs and moving about. Within several days, she was sleeping in our childrens` rooms, a little orange purring machine. Is there a better way to be lulled into deep sleep? Before we knew it, she was a member of our family.Ramona is a lovely, mature cat. She is content to while away the hours birdwatching or relaxing on a soft spot. But the moment she hears us on another floor she glides up or down stairs and likes nothing better than to be with her humans. Watchful, quiet but communicative when she needs to be, letting you know when she seeks attention and when she wants to be nearby but with some space. Delightful! Who instructed this tiny, gorgeous thief so as to steal our hearts? Ramona seeks a warm home and heart. Consider adopting this wonderful, subtle, beautiful feline.

Story
Rehoming Two Very Affectionate Cats I am faced with the difficult decision of finding a new home for my two sweetheart cats. They are two years old and from the same litter. Healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to financial circumstances, I am moving in with my family, where there is a dog that is aggressive towards cats. To ensure their safety and well-being, I am seeking a kind, safe, and loving home where they can continue to thrive together. Please see the attached photos. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Moose and Bao, or if you know of someone who might be, please reach out to me at the email provided. Your kindness and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated. Gratefully, Isabel

Story
Zulu is an awesome cat that minds her business and needs a loving home. I adopted her when she was 8 months old and she has been with me for 4 years. She has traveled the world with me and I will miss her very much. My other cat is very dominant and does not get along with Zulu, despite being together for four years. This is giving Zulu anxiety and leading her to overgroom. This is likely due to the significantly smaller apartment that I live in after returning to the U.S. This is an extremely difficult decision but I do believe it is the right one for her health. Zulu is up to date on all of her vaccines. She has had active pet insurance for her entire time with me and has never gotten seriously ill. E.g. she has only had the typical cat "ate something weird" or hairball issues. She has a patch of very light hair due to the overgrooming. I am throwing in an automatic pet feeder, pet carrier, and her favorite suction cup window hammock to go with her as well.

Story
Boots is an incredibly loving, high-energy boy. This spirited guy was living on the streets of Baltimore for his first few months of life before I rescued him. From the outset, he was the sweetest - and most playful - cat I've met. In the over two years I've had him, he's never hissed at me, and loves to sleep under a blanket by my feet - or on them. He's spent a lot of time with a couple golden retrievers, who are his best friends, so he typically can be good with dogs (or get accustomed to them). Boots has a lot of energy and loves being around people; he should go to a home with someone who can play with him and keep him entertained.

Story
Are you an introvert? Love reading books or watching a movie with a cuddle buddy on your lap? If so, this is your guy! Sassafras Swirl is an introvert too. He arrived at my door in November 2023. He was emaciated and wasn't going to make it. I started feeding him, fell in love with him, and brought him inside. He was clearly a former housecat. Sassafras had a PU (perineal urethrostomy) surgery in December 2024. That, along with a prescription diet and being separated from my other cats, seems to have fully resolved his FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease) issues. I have 3 cats and he is bullied by one of them. I've "tried it all" and there is no resolving it. For his health, I keep him separated, but it breaks my heart. He would love a home of his own with no other pets or kids. He has made huge strides in the past year! He's a shy, low energy guy, with anxiety who would love a pet parent who can relate, and give him time and space to come out of his shell even more.
