Story
Leyla's Personality Beauty and brains, sweet and sassy. This little charmer, whose nickname is "Miss Bean," will win you over in no time. Although not a lap cat (so far!), she's always close by laying next to you. Just provide a nice, soft fleece blanket. Leyla is super friendly and enjoys being brushed. She will reward you with soft purrs and gentle head butts. Leyla is becoming more playful each day in her new foster home after all of her six kittens have been adopted. She is learning to be a kitten again after giving being a mom at just 9 months of age. Leyla goes nuts over a catnip-filled pillow. She showed off her first "zoomies" around the house the other day. And she chases just about anything that moves. Miss Bean won't wake you up for breakfast, but waits until you pet her while she stands on your chest, giving you the days loudest purr. She loves to sleep on a soft blanket on the bed at night and occasionally chases your toes under the covers. Her favorite things are catnip toys, getting brushed and showing off her trick sitting on command for treats. If Leyla can’t find you, she lets out a little meow, and comes running when you call. She loves people, and is not shy at all. She is a perfect little companion. What Type of Home Leyla Needs This sweet, sassy girl needs a home where people are around for her to hang out with. She is not demanding, but likes to be near people. Leyla likes to be in charge of her territory and needs to be the only pet - no other cats or dogs in her forever home. Leyla can get a little over-stimulated and nip your hands or feet when she feels unsettled - so no young children now or in the future. An older, cat-savvy child would be fine. This behavior has subsided in her new foster home now that she is settled in. Where Leyla Came From Leyla was rescued from outdoors by a kind man who found her abandoned in a park just one week before giving birth to six healthy kittens (all adopted). She was such a sweet, nurturing mama. Now its time for Leyla to have a home of her own.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
I got sundae from a shelter when he was 3 months year old when I was in Atlanta Georgia. I had another 2 years old boy cat at home with me, so they get along pretty quick. Sundae is super outgoing and friendly to human, he enjoys attention a lot and he will play with whatever toys you may have for him. A month ago when me and my girlfriend moved to the area because of work, we moved in together and she has 2 other boy cats at time. So the 4 boys were ok together, however Sundae started to demonstrate some anxiety and unsteadiness, sometime he would pee on our couch. We took him to various vets, and also did urinalysis which is negative for kidney diseases. The vet said he is anxious from being with 3 other boy cats, and that's why he is demonstrating behavior issue. I would love to continue keep him, however, I don't want him to live in an environment that he is not comfortable and not happy.

Story
My 3 years old boy is named after planet Mars. A year ago, my coworker was sending mars to shelter. I already had 2 cats but didn’t wanted Mars to go to those shelter boxes. I took him in. He has been with me for a year and its been a joy. But recently my landlord found out I have 3 cats and it has become a problem. I have to pay extra rent and fees which has become a challenge as I am a student too. Mars is really adorable and playful and I am hoping to find him a new loving home. We have him on banfield pet plan so he is up to date on every vaccine and booster shots.

Story
Sammy is 12-year-old, male black cat. He is warm/friendly who can also be playful, even at his age. He does well with other animals/children. I love Sammy, and I will be very sad to see him go. He is a good friend, a very good pet. Sammys one weakness is that he has a history of urinating in soft places. At one time, he had urinary crystals, and he was cured with diet. He still would urinate in inappropriate places. My wife finally had enough of the urination, she requested a final effort to resolve the issue. I took Sammy to the vet to check for any medical issues. In April 2024, the vet gave Sammy a clean bill of health--no health issue causing the urination problem. The vet suggested putting Sammy on Prozac (this is an actual treatment), claiming a 90-95% effectiveness rate in stopping inappropriate urination. Sammy has been on Prozac since then. However, Sammy urinated on our carpet once since being on the Prozac--this violated my wife's zero tolerance policy.

Story
Rehoming Two Very Affectionate Cats I am faced with the difficult decision of finding a new home for my two sweetheart cats. They are two years old and from the same litter. Healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to financial circumstances, I am moving in with my family, where there is a dog that is aggressive towards cats. To ensure their safety and well-being, I am seeking a kind, safe, and loving home where they can continue to thrive together. Please see the attached photos. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Moose and Bao, or if you know of someone who might be, please reach out to me at the email provided. Your kindness and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated. Gratefully, Isabel
